Maybe they don't all hate us.

The sad part is, most of the countries that support us are not NATO, and are not on the security council.

Just because a nation does not support the US on a particular item doesn't mean they hate us. Everyone seems to associate disagreement with hate and it is incorrect.

That's right they don't speak for all of Europe. Their art, women, and clothing should be stolen, and the country turned into a EuroDisney.

What's my point? I don't particularly like the French....but everyone jumps at a nation (any nation really) that holds different views then the US. If Tony Blair were to come out tomorrow and say he was against war...the American citizenry would blast the English and talk of how we kicked their ass to gain independence and bailed them out in WWII. The point is that not every issue is as cut and dry as many of you want to make them...and the simple bashing of other people, nations, opposing ideas and such is simply obtuse, ignorant and biased.

That is generally correct. In this case, however, most nations that are in disagreement with the United States is because they resent us in many ways. Resent might not equal hate, but they are close bedfellows.

FiveB, it's not about disagreeing with the US, that's been discussed here manytimes. It's about a pattern. France disagrees with us because we're america. if the UK came out against us, i'd think that it was sincere, because they have a pattern of support.

Yeah now that I think about it...France dislikes America...holds WMD...let's invade. We can have Bush and Powell make speeches and focus on their hate and dislike for the US and its policies. We can call the French people "jealous of our way of life" I think, I just read on the AP "France is now considered a threat as well as an 'axis of evil'."
