Hey, is it absolutely nessacary to say welcome to DC everytime theres a call in? I mean its not like they havent been in DC since like oh October. I mean sure wishing them well cause their in JFK is ok, but thats only needed like the day they are first in JFK.

as a dc listener i am ashmed of 85-90% of the calls that get on the air. i know there are funny people around here, you just have to have the phone screeners to cut through the throngs of douchebags and redneck chickenfuckers. dc needs to get with the program...literally. these shitty callers that dont get the joke are brining down the quality of the show, and most likely the spirits of the boys themselfs. BE MORE FUNNY!

Yeah I see what you mean by bringing the boys spirit's down. They have been here for a little over two weeks and I havnt heard a good comedy pyramid yet. Ron and Fez wont be able to brag that they have "the best callers in the biz" if so many tools and hacks keep on getting through.

Well, if you've listened to R&F from the beginning, you have to have noticed the show has changed to better fit the format of the day-part they were in. The late night show was slightly different than the day show, which was slightly different than the evening show.
What is going on in DC now is that R&F are doing a show more relevant to where they are. This isn't New York anymore - it's always going to be Ron and Fez, but they are changing their style to fit the market. Anyone in NY listening to the show may think things aren't as good, but they are doing what the need to do to appeal to their new listeners.
NY still, and will always love those guys, but they aren't doing the show for us anymore.

Yeah, it does get a little redundant. However, I choose to look at it as a sign of a lot of new fans of the show coming on board. So maybe for these first couple of months, quantity rather than quality isn't such a bad thing. Think of it as "building a DC listener pyramid".

I almost like having more bad callers...it's a reflection on the old late night days when R&F had almost nothing but stupid and crazy people calling...I listen to the show to rely on R&F for comedy, not the callers, and stupid callers give them plenty to work with...

One thing that I have noticed this week is the increase in the female callers and new callers. That is a good sign for the show, the word is spreading about our boys and hopefully the ratings will start to climb.
The junkies used to be #1 at night so I know that Ron and Fez can take over the night time.
Thank you Ron and Fez for finally being live in DC again.
Ok let's get the boys back live in NY. Don't give up the fight.

Has anyone else noticed that they are letting bad callers stay on the air much longer than they used to? And they act like its a good call? Maybe its just me but it seems that they are being a little too patient and tolerant with the rednecks that have been calling in. I think that if you tolerate a stupid caller, other stupid people will think that its ok for them to call too. And I also think that they have really lowered the bar on the comedy pyramids,
(i.e. funny wrestling nick-names for George Bush)its seems that they have very little faith in the comedic abilities of the DC callers. I blame Billy.

Look, calm down, R&F had a good three years+ to build up a really dedicated fanbase in NYC...back when R&F was live here late nights, there were plenty of great callers from DC...then the show went away, stayed on here at an ungodly hour NOT LIVE, and nobody from DC really called or listened. You think WNEW didn't give R&F any promotion? R&F here was truly a "lost show"...it wasn't even listed on the web as one of the shows on the air or in any of the on-air promos that listed all the shows on WJFK...
It's only been live since October, people ARE getting it, and the "redneck quotent" is hardly as high as it's been in past months...don't expect the DC callers to be NYC-style "pros" in just a couple months and you won't be foolishly disapointed...

I agree totally with bad samaritan... Ron and Fez have always tailored their show to the audience that they have the ability to reach most, in their current day part...or in this case, city.
I never heard it, but I'm sure the Ron and Ron (w/ Fez) show in Florida, would resemble nothing like the show we heard here in NY. Just like the RF.com late nights didn't seem to have much of the same flavor as the Ron and Fez mid-day shift.
For DC, as much as us NY fans may hate to admit it, just because it's funny to us, doesn't make it tangible for other cities. And it works both ways. The same way most NY area fans couldn't stand Don and Mike...in DC, they're beloved and praised as being innovative. Let's face it, NY as a city, moves faster, and the people who live here are most inclined to get and enjoy humor that reflects our every days lives.
Even though DC itself is a major city, most JFK listeners are from Maryland and Northern Virginia...And let's face it, the lifestyle in those areas isn't quite as hectic or even as progressive and diverse as it is in NY. DC to me, more will reflect the Ron and Fez Mid-Day show. A show that was directed to listeners who listened more in passing, then who made it an event to listen every day. Yes, there are exceptions, but for the most part, it holds true. If you remember, the Mid-Day show had more women callers...and sadly, most of them weren't funny. Hopefully DC's women can be better.
Finally, I hate to see Ron and Fez hit a strip club to get women to drink on their show, but I'm sure that will change. NY wasn't always just cool female listeners who would drink on the show, early on, they would take girls from clubs...so be patient. But I agree whole heartedly...Pro girls aren't very entertaining. All they want is a plug...and not the kinda plug we'd like to give them.

Whoa, whoa, WHOA. Having masses of redneck fans that are over 40 does NOT mean anyone is calling them "innovative" or even praising them. Their show has been tooled on by the press here for years now...nobody likes them except the old folks and bumpkins...

Give the D.C. callers a chance. It took a long time for the NY callers to get where they are today.
