so a few of us go to this restaurant called the Gramercy Tavern in NYC on Friday.

Great restaurant.

My friend goes "I hear this place is known for its....BACON."

So we ask the server and sure enough they cure their own bacon. So she says she'd be happy to add a bacon appetizer to our order.

Along with the tremendous fois gras and partridge and monkfish and Nantucket scallops that we ordered for our appetizers....she plunks down a 2''x3'' piece of bacon.

$24 for the bacon. Just a small slab of bacon.

Good bacon. Expensive bacon.

And to think the tasting menu was only $95 per person....

The only bacon I get on a reguar basis is on an Wendy's Jr. bacon cheeseburger.

Oh yeah, that's the point of my post. To name drop and boast. I should have just said I went to McDonalds and got an extra container of sweet and sour sauce with my Chicken McNuggets and then I went home and ran a batch cause the chick who hooked me up with the free sauce was such a hottie. Then I went home, played PS2 Grand Theft Auto, drank some cheap beer, and fucked my girlfriend while listening to Insane Clown Posse.

Steels: why not send me a PM. I promise to take the high road. In the meantime, for those of you who read the Board and know me, I'm sure you understand that I could find better fora to boost my self esteem and "brag" about my ability to afford a $150 meal once in a while at age 35 after busting my ass to get to the place I am in life...if that was my intent.
