Rangers Acquire Kovalev

I think the rangers basically got a steal. Not only getting Kovalev back, along with Jurke and another scorer. The rangers gave up nothing in great and untapped talent. Good move, can't hurt us unless kovalev pulls a dissapearing act...again.

this is a great move for the Rangers, if they can make the playoffs. I'm so pissed the Islanders didn't make more of an attempt to get him. they could use his scoring. it would make it that much better though if he did just collapse.

i'd also complain about the Rangers spending so much money, but i'm a Yankees fan and it just wouldn't seem right.

AFRO... I expect more out of you than that. We all know that good players become complaicent when aquired by the blueshirts. Sure he's scoring great this year, but we only have to look back to last year when we picked up Bure, a pure scorer, and still missed the post season. Seeing rusults similar to the points hes put up this year, continued for the second half would be great. I would have liked to see them use the Hartford crew more. But that is unlikely. Just more proof that pro teams named Rangers pay big bucks for nothing.

True, it seems that the rangers have the same curse as the Mets do or Red Sox. Star players coming over and just playing awful. But for what we gave up, we pulled off a great deal. We gave up possible prospects, average players at best for an upgrade that is considerably better.

It's too little and too late for the Rangers. They need to win like 17 of their last 24 games to catch TB. Not going to happen. Although Kovalev is a nice pick up....but I think overall the Rangers just keep getting older players. They need to concentrate on getting young players.
