TEHRAN (Reuters) - President Mohammad Khatami said on Sunday Iran had mined uranium for use in its nuclear power plants and would reprocess the spent fuel itself, but insisted its nuclear program was solely for civilian use.
Looks like Bush was right when he made his 'Axis of Evil' speech. Now all three countries are active. Gonna be a busy year for the military...

I guess after Iraq is nothing but rubble and we have bases out the ass there, Iran might calm down.

Riiiiight. Because having the Great Satan right next door would be great for U.S.-Iran relations...

Just curious, but is this what you see when you look outside? Because then it all kinda starts to make sense...

The Russians have been helping Iran with its nuclear plants for over 10 years.
If Iraq is defeated in a war, watch out for Iran making a power play in the region.

If I remember correctly, in our last military venture, the destabilization of Afghanistan led to a growing Iranian influence in Western Afghanistan that still exists today. If the end of Iranian influence is what you are looking for, the last few years have shown that bringing an end to the Iraqi regime can only strengthen Iran's ability to infiltrate what the US wants to be a friendly nation. I support a war against Iraq, but we must be prepared to take on a possible Iranian incursion from the South. It may or may not be state-sponsored, but do not be surprised when Iranians are found trying to take advantage of the situation.
