The revolution of the "Ride-on" lawnmower

I remember when I was a youngster, that whenever the kids from my hood would be around in my yard they would all watch in amazment as my pops rode around mowing the lawn on this monster lawnmower. I can remember taunting them the next day when thier father was out in thier yards pushing that old shitty electric mower around, cursing and kicking it .

We all thought by the year 2000 that everyone with a yard would be riding around on a riding lawnmower. But as I've grown, I can't help but notice that not many people choose the pricy, bulky lawnmower to the cheap push mower....

I saw one in Sears recently that had a nice canvas roof on it to block the sun. They may even make drink holders so you can drink and drive.
