Yep, Ozzie nailed it.

It's a game that translated PERFECTLY from arcade to the shitty Atari because it's so SIMPLE! Yet it's so great.

And I have to say that I've bought a few of the updated Space Invaders games and it's lost something.

TOO MANY bells and whistles doesn't make the game better, it complicates it.

On Combat, one of my favorite things to do would be to line the tanks up barrel to barrel and fire at the same time, blowing eachother off the screen.

Long time lurker, but had to put my 2 cents in on this one. Yar's Revenge was great! That constant buzzing noise! LOL Pitfall and Joust were my other faves. Then on the Sega Genesis my fave was RBI Baseball. Fights on the mound AND in the stands!! New faves are Madden 2003, Smackdown SYM and MK Deadly Alliance.:-) <P>

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read this post. The exact same thing happened to me. My mother and I took the 22 Bus all the way down to West New York's "Radio Shack" to get the game. I was ecstatic. I remember the panic that overwhelmed me when I knew this was the game I choose and there was no turning back! Some time later I received communion and got a new color T.V and "Real Sports" Football. That game was killer!
