I had not listened to Sporting News Radio in a very long time since the only chance I had was when Ron and Fez are on. Now that they are gone, I tried to go to 620 AM and it is infomercials on weekdays, but sports on weekends. Anybody know what happened?

With papa Joe and Bob Kent? I heard a minute of Papa JOe about 3 days ago. I'm sure the ratings blew in NY, if it is gone, thats why.

Sporting New Radio is still on in the tristate area. I flip the channels now and then and still hear it.
NYDragons, they will probably disappear very soon because of the emergence of ESPN against the establishment of WFAN.
Why not join the winnng team, be a P1!?!?

I really like Sporting News. If you are the type of person who prefers national sports to local sports (which I am), then SNR does it the best. ESPN just pisses me off. There are people out there who would give their left nut to have a radio show, but ESPN just gives shows to anybody with a TV show on their network. As far as ESPN muscling out SNR, we'll see who will put up a better fight; the Mouse or Paul Allen.

NYD, Here's the story:
Recently the station started to play a stock market show in the NY metro area at 6:00pm weekdays interupting a show. On weekends, most of the shows are going, yet we here constant infomercials again. At around 5:00am, Kevin Wheeler's show get interupted for a vitamin spot and this happens all throughout the day. I thought it was bad when they kept switching shows and times, now they don't even let the shows on the radio. This shows how bad the NY radio market is. I do like the national scope much better and ESPN does piss me off more than SNR. Yet at least they aren't on an interesting topic to be continued after the break only to return with a weight loss diet hour ad. Radio truly sucks here in "market #1"! The only show on ESPN I like is (sp) Don Legreco? A very informative and interactive show with a national feel, unlike most of the shows on the network. And he loves hockey...ching!

Until Ron & Fez got yanked from New York, I had not listened to Sports Radio in about 9 months. This overhaul at WSNR is news to me.
