View Full Version : Pot, Meet Kettle: Nidia's Depush, and other WWE Hilarities

In my favorite WWE story of the past 2 weeks, Nidia - and by default, Jamie Noble - has been receiving a depush: mainly, taking her and Noble off of the more high-profile Smackdown! show and sticking htem on Velocity. The reasoning for the depush?
She's too fat.
It'd be one thing if the weight-obssessed Jim Ross was saying such a thing...but the person who's complaining about it is the billion dollar princess herself, Stephanie McMahon.
Ironic, isn't it? Because if you've seen Steph lately, SHE'S AT LEAST AS BIG AS NIDIA.

In more Steph news:
"Stephanie McMahon recently told Mike "Nova" Bucci to cut his long hair. The reason she wanted him to cut his hair is because she thought he looked too much like Triple H."
I don't even need to add anything to that.
Except to say that if Nova really wanted to look like HHH, it'd require about 110 lbs. of steroid-saturated muscle.

In the continued sabotage of Matt Hardy's career:
"John Maurinaitis, the former Johnny Ace, has reportedly been working againt the push of Matt Hardy.
Ace apparently feels that Matt is still getting face heat from teenage girls and will never get true heel heat. It was Ace who convinced Vince McMahon to put Albert in Matt's place earlier this year in the failed push against Rey Mysterio.
Paul Heyman continues to support Matt as a heel, and in particular his Mattitude character.
However if Ace gets his way, Matt will turn face again in the near future and cater to the same fanbase he had as part of the Hardy Boyz team."
Right, because that's EXACTLY what he needs. Because lord knows when he comes out to the ring, the roof of the place just blows off the place with all of the teenage girls in the crowd cheering. Right. Yessir.

If you can believe it, Lex Luger has recently stated that he believes he'll be back in the WWE soon.
Not because Vince has voiced interest - rather because he's hulked up to 300 lbs. and feels that he'd be a great "surprise return". Heh.

And finally, in the most confusing move by the WWE of the past...oh, 24 hours, they plan to debut Nathan Jones...
....as a face.
After weeks of portraying him as psychotic and a hardcore ex-con.
Whatever, maybe it'll work.

It just gets worse. I thought Nidia was soon gonna make a name for herself at least maybe have a match with Torrie or Dawn Marie. No wait! They have to push the Dawn Marie/Torrie mayches until Summer. FUCKS!
Isn't Jeff hardy getting a heel turn? Or so it appears. I mean he has been doing "heel-esqe" things on RAW but you never ever know. Can both Hardy's get over as heels? I mean what else would they have to do? Matt has gotten there but I really like his character. It works good for him. Jeff mayneed some work.
Thanks Se7en for the updates. It is good to know I can come here for the wrestling news when Rajah doesn't have it yet.

Shit, this chick would probably make Jesus Christ cut his hair... and job to A-Train week after week.

OK, I don't really think of either Nidia or Steph as being lard-asses, but Stephanie has at least 2 dress sizes on Nidia (not to mention 40 lbs of unnecessary saline implants). If she's going to take Nidia off TV for being ''fat,'' she really should follow suit.

...yeah, a McMahon voluntarily stepping out of the spotlight. What the hell was I thinking?

Nidia - and by default, Jamie Noble - has been receiving a depush: The reasoning for the depush?
She's too fat.
This reasoning is made even more absurd by the simple fact that, isn't she supposed to be trailer trash? Would it be so odd to see a little cottage cheese on a trailer park bunny? Steph is out of her mind...she's probably just pissed that HHH saw Nidia back stage and got a little jump in his shorts.
But the most likely reason is that the WWE has never had enough energy & time to devote to the cruiserweight division. They could be putting on some of the best matches every show, but WWE doesn't use them until 2 weeks before a PPV where the title is going to change hands. Then, it's back to the back burner until they're so desperate again that they dust off the title for another 2-3 week run of minimal, but TV-worthy importance.
"Stephanie McMahon recently told Mike "Nova" Bucci to cut his long hair. The reason she wanted him to cut his hair is because she thought he looked too much like Triple H."
At what point is daddy going to make the critical realization that his baby girl no longer gives a shit about the business. I'm so sad to see Steph doing this shit because I like her character, but she is seemingly obsessed with only the success & uniqueness of her fucktoy. This is out of control. After hearing this, I'm surprised that when HHH started wearing his ponytail just like RVD, that they didn't make Van Dam undo his. This is insanity.
Ace apparently feels that Matt is still getting face heat from teenage girls and will never get true heel heat. It was Ace who convinced Vince McMahon to put Albert in Matt's place earlier this year in the failed push against Rey Mysterio.
Enough said....execute Johnny Ace & PLEASE leave the wrestling writing to people who have had some modicum of success at it in the past. Isn't Johnny Ace one of the writers WCW brought in just before going belly-up? I think Paul E. (as big as a scumbag as he might be) knows wrestling fans & what they want to see a tad bit better than Mr. Ace. His every idea may not be gold, but he has a better batting average than anyone presently employed by the WWE.
I never gave a shit about Matt Hardy...and I even hated this gimmick in its' first few weeks...but I have to face facts, it's the only thing entertaining on SmackDown other than Benoit/Edge/Team Angle wrestling in the main event every week. If you take Matt's character & edge away from him, you are down to 20 minutes (the last 20, at that) of watchable TV on your biggest show.
If you can believe it, Lex Luger has recently stated that he believes he'll be back in the WWE soon.
Not because Vince has voiced interest - rather because he's hulked up to 300 lbs. and feels that he'd be a great "surprise return".
To quote John Amos, in his most accomplished role to date:
"I'm only gonna tell you this one time son...stay off the drugs!"
And finally, in the most confusing move by the WWE of the past...oh, 24 hours, they plan to debut Nathan Jones...
....as a face.
Well, then he must be headed to Raw, because that idea is too stupid for even SmackDown to air. Let me guess, he's going directly into an angle with HHH, they will dance slowly around each other for a month, then HHH will destroy him at a PPV & end any chance of believability for the rest of his career?
No, wait, they already ran that angle with someone else.

1. No one will EVER mistake Nova for HHH because Nova can wrestle.
2. They made Raven cut his hair.....then fired him.
3. As far as Johnny Ace goes: Can we really trust the opinion of someone who used to be a Dynamic Dude?
What do you want from us? We're EVIL! EVIL!!!!!!

Hmm, let's see:
HHH
-bloated, untalented camera hog on RAW
Nova
-talented cruiserweight who may or may not get lost in the shuffle on Smackdown
Yep, I can see how Steph could confuse the two of them.

Man, things really do get catty backstage. Stephanie needs to take it down a notch and a few falsey pounds while she's at it. I don't think she'd look nearly as big if her arms weren't so... pregnant.

None of this griping is necessary really. Like Austin said, wrestlers should have more creative control of their characters. So if fans wanna boo Matt Hardy or cheer Matt Hardy, his direction shouldn't be sabotaged because of it. Damn those people are picky. Yeesh.

As for Jeff's implied heel turn on Raw... I agree. Can, better yet, should both Hardys be heels? Different shows or not, looks too manufactured.

I will say I'm glad Jeff's doing a little more than just putting on a spectacle during his entrance, losing his match and walking out.

someone had to say it. she looks a couple months along. I'm surprised- i would've thought that all those steroids would've fried HHH's sperm
