A virus is in the bloodstream, worms are visible underneath the skin of the genitals.

This would have been much funnier had it not posted 6 posts before the one I was responding to.

However, I NOW OWN THIS DISCUSSION! FIRST THIS, NEXT THE WORLD! MWUHAHAHAHA!

AMB - Thanks for posting the alert.

I assume everyone knows you shouldn't be connected to the internet without an antivirus program. If you have broadband, you need a firewall. There's an excellent free one at zonelabs.com

I got this emailed virus on two of my email accounts - don't open it. Don't ever open a file that has a .bat or .exe extension. This one was named senses_poem.doc.bat (the .doc is to confuse you into thinking it's a word document. If you open it, it will send itself to everyone in your address book. It can also wipe out your entire C: drive.

From: "Justin Auciello"<auciello@wam.umd.edu
To: angrymissybaby@rfbabies.com
Subject: Senses poem
Date: Mon, 23 Jul 2001 05:54:21 -0700

Hi! How are you?

I send you this file in order to have your advice

See you later. Thanks
------------------------------------------------------------Scan Result Name of File: Senses_poem.doc.bat
Type of File: application/mixed
Scan Result: Virus W32.Sircam.Worm@mm found. File NOT cleaned.

This file contains a computer worm, a program that spreads very quickly over the Internet to many computers and can delete files, steal sensitive information, or render your machine unusable.

Also don't open extensions with .vbs at the end. There are at least 50 extensions that can cause damage. The important thing is to only open files that you know are safe so if it at the end it say .doc, .jpg, .gif you are safe.

Oh and I'd like to thank Microsoft for allowing the spread of more viruses and worms.

I will get a sig pic...eventually

Whats the difference between a virus and a worm?

Sircam uses random subject lines and file names. I am getting messages daily from "Grace Klimowicz" and I don't don't even know who the fuck she is.

If you don't use Micro$oft Outlook for e-mail, you can avoid most e-mail viruses and worms.
