OK, where to go, where to go. I'm just trying to figure out a good place to go out on a Friday or Saturday night, being a girl alone it's not so easy to find the right place. I just want to have some fun, maybe dance a little. Anyone know of some good places in New Jersey (northern NJ)? Oh, and sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I wasn't sure where to put it.

Well, I always dig Nyack (depends on how close to the NY border you are). Its got a nice two block bar crawl. You can always check out city search for stuff in your area. http://www.citysearch.com

Thanks for the links. I'm not too far from Nyack, anyplace in particular that you like?
And dream weaver, are you suggesting that I be a dancer there? Somehow I can't see me hanging out at a gentlemen's club alone, but I guess if you're a girl looking for men, what better place is there?

I hang out at Bruxelle's alot (when i have money). It's a good, easy going bar in front (though sometimes crowded) and there's a dance floor in back. They play good music, Sunday is open mic night and I think Tuesdays is Karaoke.
Olive's is also good. They have live music sometimes and usually cheap specials.
The best thing about nyack though is the summertime. everyone congregates in the street and it becomes a block party.
