The Radio Voice. Yeah, THAT VOICE!

You know the one that sounds like a monster truck rally is coming everytime any rock or alternative or just plain hip station goes to break.

Who are the guys who do these? Where did it first occur? I remember the one for a few of the Raceways in Lehigh CO., PA and some in Jersey too from when I was a kid. I would just love to see one of them getting recorded. Maybe it is this little guy about 4' 10" with the MONSTER VOICE!

I sometimes get down to Baltimore and the one on 98 Rock is just deep and scary sounding but also really cool too. He did a (go figure) monster truck rally ad for WYSP a few weeks ago and I almost felt compelled to get a ticket.

I worked in a post
production facility and I have
seen one of those guys. He
was about 50, 5'8" 250lbs.
The nicest, most
professioonal guy. It was
shocking to hear that sound
come from that body.
