So it seems the two 70's Dinosaurs of Rock will be touring together starting in August. Does anyone care?

Besides me, I mean. I can't hardly wait.

Does it bother me that Ace Frehley might not be involved?

Sure.

Will it stop me from going?

Nothing will stop me from going.

Sorry Fuzzypants, your cousin Bruce isn't involved. What is he up to, anyway? Poor fella.

Word is Aerosmith are working on a "blues" album to tour behind. What they should really do is start up on the drugs again.

Doped up "Rocks" era Aerosmith = GOOD
Clean & Sober "Jaded" Aerosmith = NOT GOOD

I'm a huge Aerosmith fan, but I saw them this past August and it was the worst concert I've ever been to. Don't get your hopes up. I don't think I could name 3 Rolling Stones songs to save my life.

Mr. Trunk says there's conflict,
cuz they both have big egos, and
KISS has a problem opening for
Aerosmith.

KISS my ass, Aerosmith rocks. The cross-dressers should be the opening act for the greatest American band.

Does anyone care?

In fact I am disgusted!
Does it bother me that Ace Frehley might not be involved?

That question should not be asked! Sorry to sound like a pooper here but it was bad enough when Eric Singer was in Peter Criss' make-up. Ace was replaced once and I could understand that when the band was in their PRIME. Now especially after the reuinion, I cannot handle it. KISS was over for me after the reunion. How many more farewell/reunion tours do we need. Aerosmith on the other hand reunited once and just kept on beating the same horse. Still the GREAT American R & R Band but they should have hung it up after Get A Grip (at the latest)!

KISS was over for me after the reunion.

I've always been a fan of Kiss' music first. The theatrics were always secondary, so I always look forward to seeing them play those tunes live. I saw them in 98 and it was a great show, but it was fairly obvious some of them were just going through the motions. I met Ace recently and he said his heart just isn't in it anymore. He's not even interested in the money, so I say if they wanna go out and entertain (and as long as people are willing to come out) then let 'em.

And speaking of Kiss, my band, Digger Phelps... oh wait, we have to check with moderators before we can plug stuff.

Ms. Fuzzypants, are you there?

As for Aerosmith, I've stuck with them through thick and thin (even went so far as to see them on the Rock In A Hard Place tour, when Misters Perry & Whitford were MIA), and while I'm not much of a fan of the latest stuff, they still rock live (saw them on the 9 Lives tour) so again, I'll be there. I think it's a great double bill.

I mean, it's not like Blue Oyster Cult and Foghat are touring together... again.

(I tried to find a relevant existing thread to post this in for the members of the KISS Army.)

See KISS' latest merchandising item:

'Kiss-opoly' Board Game Available

One of the latest items released by the Kiss promotional team is something the whole family can enjoy. The band is selling a board game based on Monopoly called Kiss-opoly: The Game That Lets You Rock And Roll All Nite. There's property to be bought and sold, just like in the original, but instead of houses and hotels, players get gold and platinum albums. Where Monopoly has the top hat, the race car, and other player pieces, Kiss-opoly has pieces shaped like Paul Stanley's and Gene Simmons's guitars, Stanley's Fire Hat, Simmons's Boot, a bag of money, and the Kiss Army logo. Kiss-opoly also comes with its own Kiss money. Kiss-opoly is available for $24.95 through the band's official kissonline.com Website.

Kiss and Aerosmith bring their coheadlining tour to the Target Center in Minneapolis tonight (Monday, November 10th).

Since AJinDC saw fit to resurrect this post, I suppose I should add my current 2 cents.

I did not go see them on this tour. Seems there was something that would keep me from going... the price of a ticket. They played the Arts Center mere minutes from my front door, but I hate that place so much I decided to wait until they added more dates (which I knew they would do). As soon as they announced the show at Madison Square Garden I went online and tried to get tickets. To my surprise I was offered 2 tickets, 4th row in section 206, a little less that halfway around and level with the stage.

Perfect seats.

Including the Ticketbastard surcharge: $175. Each.

I cancelled the order.

I will likely not be going to see Aerosmith & Kiss anytime soon.

I would like KISS-opoly for Christmas, though.

KISS have pulled down perhaps the greatest musical deception in the history of music and modern pop culture.

Fuck them in their no doubt girly Kabuki-painted assholes.

Yeah, I'm recycling this thread AGAIN.

I thought members of the KISS Army might be interested to see that Peter Criss is working on a autobiographical solo set (http://www.billboard.com/bb/daily/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1000826741)

I've seen Aerosmith twice and the second time really sucked because they played mostly songs from that terrible Just Push Play album (which was their new one at the time), so I have a sour taste left in my mouth as far as Aerosmith concerts are concerned.
Oh yeah, and KISS sucks.

This just tells me that neither of these two can fill an arena anymore.

Kiss is like the Freddie Kruger of rock. Just when you think they're dead, BOOM there they are AGAIN.

Wooden stake, kryptonite, The Kiss Coffin, nothing seems to kill them. They're like rats and roaches, they'd even survive a nuclear attack.

Maybe if they tour with 50 Cent someone might shoot these bastards

Maybe I'm just a sheep, but KISS really does put on a great show. Yeah, they're all old, but they still do the pyrotechics and all the high-wire stuff. Not bad for a bunch of old guys.
