The best rap actor is eminem.I mean come on it takes alot of talent when he did that role as a struggling white-rapper who hates his mom.(sarcasim)

not sure if they are considered rap, but those Kid and Play House Party movies were great. they should have won awards for those films.

I'd say Ice-T or Cube

C'mon when Marky Mark is in the desert in Three Kings and he gets the motor oil poured down his gullet...that is DAMN good acting.

What is up with Michael Jackson? (could be the funniest movie line ever)

I have hated Ice-T for a good amount of time, but I saw him in an AWFUL movie called "The Stealth Fighter" and it reminded me why Ice-T sucks and why you cannot make a "hi-tech" movie with less than $20,000.

Three Kings was packed with the music industry. Ice Cube, Mark Wahlberg, and video director Spike Jonze.

I think that rappers tend not to be good actors for the same reason that rappers couldn't really be wine sommeliers. There is a lack of subtlety in rap. The rap form is Nietzean from the hood and always romanticizes the Will to Power and memorializes the heroic. I love to listen to rap on a Friday or Saturday before I go out, but I wouldn't want to listen to it all the time or even -- horror -- be raised on it, otherwise it woulddeaden my sense of subtlety. In that sense it is hard to imagine Eminem doing Hamlet or even praising the earthy tones of a Burgundy.

DMX
Nas
Method Man
Redman

if u doubt X, Nas, or meth just watch Belly. the greatest hip-hop movie ever. plus the movie takes place all over where i live. when im away at skool i watch the movie and see home again.
as for red and meth just watch how high. it gets corny but u cant blame that on them. stay up!!!!

"Cradle to the Grave" with DMX looks pretty hot, too bad the title is so friggin horrible.

I'll be seeing the acting skills of DJ Kay Slay, and Rampage shortly as they have rolls in the production i am working on. it should be interesting, since the movie has lots of shootouts and violence, i think it will really challange them...

DMX was great in "belly" and his own movie that was on BET called angel. only thing wrong with "angel" is that it was basically a rap musical, done on a crap budget.

It seems to me that DMX and Method Man know how to play DMX and Method Man. Lets see DMX play a retard. Or a stand up comedian. The reason why Eminem did such a good job in 8 mile was because he was essentially playing Eminem.

compare meth's character from belly and how high. one a hit-man willing to kill whenever asked. and bein funny while doing it. the other a stoner who only need apply himself. 2 different roles both acted very well.

It's gotta go to Cube, man. I still consider his being overlooked by the Academy for the role Doughboy in Boyz 'n the 'Hood to be an enormous travesty. In truth, the fact that the whole film was overlooked is a testament to the still backwards thinking of Hollywood.

Ice Cube is the best rapper/actor he can do dramas, comedies, and action movies.

Will Smith is an ok actor he is a better actor than singer.

Ice T can only play one type of roll. The tough street wise criminal or cop. He does a good job on SVU.

Thank you Ron and Fez for finally being live in DC again.
Philly is the next market for the boys. Wake up WYSP...

How many rap songs does one have to make to be considered a rapper, cause if it's 1, then Barry Williams who made the "The Real Greg Brady" song to me is the best actor. No one is ever going to top the Johnny Bravo character.
