MAN this is a great Metal band!

I used to REALLY make fun of these guys for looking FILTHY and their HORRIFIC use of the English language.

But just the other day my buddy put the "Chaos AD" CD in my car stereo and WOW was I wrong! Lot's of Tribal influence! Lots of impressive musicianship too!

Beneath the Remains, Arise, and a few others are GREAT albums too! Their new shit sucks, ans I can't get into the shit when the lead singer MAX left, but hey, the old metarial speaks for itself.

So unless you're a big pussy, check it out!

I used to like them until Max left. I still listen to them but won't listen to any new stuff. The band was ALL Max!! Max's band Soulfly is amazing!!!

NICE! I did and still do very very much. I bought Against and it was O K, but you copuld clearly tell that most of the eraly glory was gone. I suggest checking out this, I found this when I was diggint hrough my old metal mags the other day and may take you back as well:

Anyway, after seeing this ad, I remember it clearly, I cut my hand up pretty bad at work washing dishes and went to the Q-Mart back in PA and bought the cassettes of both Sepuktura and Obituary. Obituary, I didn't quite get until Cause Of Death came out, but Beneath The Remains just killed me. I was so blown away by its power, speed, crunch and reaching far beyond anything I had ever heard before. It topped Slayer and Metallica by a far reach. I then just out Morbid Visions (very muddy sounding until the remaster came out) and Schizophrenia which equally kicked as much ass as B.T.R. did and remember that those were so hard to find because they were Brazil only imports. That was a fun search though. Kind of wish music wasn not so easy to come by now that I think about it.

Sep was one of my favorites for the longest time and seeing Max leave was a really crushing blow but hey, what do ya do? Is there still any bands out there who can bring the music forth like the Sepulturas or Obituarys or even the Exhorders (ever hear them, that is some SERIOUS hatred and anger there :)) of old? IF there is fill me in, cause I am lost in the sea of mediocrity here. Also, has any one head the Brazillian band, Animal? They were proclaimed as the next Sepultura a few years back but I never heard anything.

Sadly, by the time I really got into them, Max had left. I was supposed to see them open for Pantera in 1994 with Prong, but Sepultura were taken off the tour. I am really into Soulfly now. The first 2 CDs are awesome.
