Sitting in the hotel in Florida this weekend, I got the chance to see Velocity, and saw Shannon Moore vs. "The Jet"... a black/green tights wearing cruiserweight with a green mask that Shannon Moore kept screaming "Make him take his mask off! Who is this man?!?" Is this supposed to be someone new and big... Or am I just expecting too much out of the WWE?

He used to wrestle on the indy circuit as Spanky. I'm dying to see this guy in action!

And yes, you probably are expecting too much from WWe to make a star out of him. Unless he's a monster or is banging someone on the booking committee, he doesn't stand a chance.

Yes, it's Spanky.
He's a cruiser, so he basically has no future in the WWE, except as the victim of a Bill DeMott squash.
But they've been doing a cute gimmick with him each week - he'll come out in a mask under a different name, based upon the local sports team. When they were in Arizona, he was "Diamondback", and I believe when they were in Wisconsin he was "The Packer".
Velocity was good this past week: two good matches in Spanky "The Jet" vs. Shannon Moore, American Dragon vs. Jamie Knoble, and Chuck Palumbo vs. Xavier.
Well, the Xavier match wasn't as great because it was a cruiser vs. a hoss-type, but still, it could have been worse.

I believe when they were in Wisconsin he was ''The Packer.''
Actually, I don't believe he was out here yet, but he'll most likely be at next Tuesday's Smackdown/Velocity taping. Stupid gimmick aside, I might just have to see this for myself.
