arite iwas reading up on Jersey Girl, the new Kevin Smith movie, and there's no jay and silent bob. then i go on to read that jay and silent bob are done entirely. no more dynamic duo. this news has rocked my world down to its very foundation. i cant think of a better duo ever in movie history, or in any medium. so i ask if someone could make me a jay and silent bob sigpic just for the memories......

If they're gone, I'm glad.

I mean, yes, the duo was a great deal of fun. But the act is played out. It was great while it lasted, but you can't keep making tons of films with the same characters, and not have them lose a step. That whole "law of diminishing returns".

We got 5 movies starring the boys, it's time they retired.

You can always go to Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash in Red Bank, NJ (or as Billy calls it- "Bloody Washed-Up Tampons on the Shore."). It's Kevin Smith's comic book store on Broad Street where one can even see the original Buddy Christ. And then go to the Dublin House on White Street and get hammered. Viva Las Red Bank!

I think the duo's dead not because people are bored with them. It's probably because jay's a smack head.

I finally saw that Jay and Silent Bob Strike back and that was really crap...(the only good thing about this movie is obviously Shannon elizabath)- don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of kevin Smith movies and the duo but after that last movie I'm glad they are putting an end to them.

There's gonna be a Clerks animated feature coming in the next year or 2, so Jay & Silent Bob will return.

Blockbuster video is the
asnswer to all your Jay and
Silent Bob problems. They
have the animated cartoon
mentioned above. I just saw
mallrats last night, last
month I rented a DVD
called AN EVENING WITH
KEVIN SMITH which is
Smith addressing varius
colege crowds and
speaking about his films- it
was extrordinarily
entertaining and very funny.
JAY AND SILENT BOB
SYRIKE BACK was just
awfull-almost as lame as
WonderBoys recent
behavior

Top of the world, Ma!

Jay and Silent Bob Strike back sucked because the duo were the main characters. They were best as side characters. Look at Chasing Amy they're in one scene only and they fucking stole it. I would be happy with a cameo.

Old news. Kev didn't want to be in his 30's playing a loser drug dealer hanging out in front of a convenience store. There is still the possibility of the Clerks Animated Movie and more View Askeniverse comic books.

Knew this was the case, but always thought they could pop up in one or two more movies. That well isn't dry just yet.

There was going to be a "Clerks" cartoon film, like the short-lived series, but Kevin Smith hasn't had anything to do with Jay since he bolted from rehab a good year ago...the dude just can't kick the smack.

i have the "Clerks" cartoon series. its ok, but it was for network TV so theres non of the good vulgar humor of the movies. this fat of no more jay and silent bob has been known since smith made "Dogma". he announced that the jay and bob movie would be the last in the series.

yea i had rented that An Evening With Kevin Smith DVD too a few weeks ago, its like 3 and a half hours of him taking questions from various college campuses. He had said at one point in that that Jay and Silent Bob are done because he doesnt want them to overstay their welcome or something. he used a funny pauly shore reference to explain it, how at one point everyone was like "hey buuuuuddy", then they were like "fuck you pauly shore". anyway the dvd is funny as hell everyone should rent it

In Kevin Smith's commentary during Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Smith repeatedly says that the film is the last in the Askew Universe.
