Anyone a fan of them? I think they're a great band that's underrated. You only hear two of their songs on the radio, and they're not promoted enough.

nope. they seem to be another in a long line of slightly hard, generic alternative type bands. they do what they do well enough, i guess, but no one really needs anyone else to be doing it. that loser song isn't bad, though

This was the song that showed me how much ROCK/ALTERNATIVE music turns me on.

3 Doors Down are definitely an underrated band... ever listen to 'LOSER'?. .. oh man.. that's such a sexy song!!!!

I think their underrated as well. Though it doesn't help that they've made some of the absolute worst videos.

I just got their latest album "Away From The Sun" and the first few tracks are pretty good. Haven't heard the rest yet...but I do like the song "When I'm Gone" which is dedicated to the soldiers overseas and their loved ones back home.

I agree that they are a pretty good band. In fact, the CD that had "Superman" was one of those rare CDs that I can listen straight through the whole thing. For that I give them a lot of credit...and now that they've been brought back to my attention, I'm off to download their newer stuff.

I hate that music that sounds the same, the kind that is played on the radio repeatedly again, like a tape on loop. This band is not underrated.....it's overplayed just like the rest of the rubbish the media tries to heave down your throat. You can stick bands like Creed, Nickelback, Linkin Park and other manufactured "hard rock" bands into the same category. The same goes for teenybopper punk bands that don't stand for anything except for the mighty $. I mean if you like listening to the same mindless music and turning into a thoughtless drone.....be my guest.

Very true Haze! All of these bands that get played on the radio are RARELY there by their merit and hard work. I mean some of these bands literally come out of NOWHERE and hit the big time. Nickelback, ok, they had a following in Canada and Creed was around for a bit before their first INDIE album. That label eventually got bought up by BMG but they still run as an indie which I praise.

Yeah, anyway anyone who truly appreciates music can see through all of the bullshit that is "rock radio" and knows the music which comes from the heart. I mean as much as they advertise on their Budweiser commericals about "true music" we ALL know it is formula. Pure BULLSHIT formula. If all these bands had some sort of an independent following, where are their records and cd's at at my local Independent Music Stores with the throngs of other indie artists. UGH!

MojoPin, you never cease to make the RIGHT point.

3 Doors Down, I never liked em but never hated them either. They are just there. Like so many others, just there. Floating off into obscurity until the record label is tired of them and reels in the next new rock band.

I'd say you're right about the previous album, but this new one is actually good. I thought I would like one or two songs and that's it. I almost like all of the songs. They have one song that's over played "when I'm gone" and that song does sound like Creed to an extent, but that's not the case with the other songs.
