This heavenly cheese has to be one of the supermarket's best kept secrets. Launched in 1921 "Laughing Cow" cheese helped lead the way to the world of processed cheese many people enjoy daily. Oddly, I have never met a person who has has even heard of it (hence this thread)! This cheese is delicious as a spread or as I prefer just by itself. The wedges are individually rapped not in wax but in foil. Even opening this product is cool with the unique casing. So, anybody familiar with "Laughing Cow" cheese.....?

I've had it around a holiday I think...it comes in different colored wedges that make a wheel.
Now I'm starving.

Yeap, I grew up eating "La Vache Que Rie" (spelling???) Laughing Cow cheese. Its a french brand (I was born and grew up in Spain and Laughing Cow cheese is very popular and available everywhere)

I actually haven't had it in at least a couple of years...

Apreciate the reminder, I think I'll go get some after work tonite.

Peace & Hugs,

I think I'm going to move this puppy to Old School.

It's still around, but like everyone-- I haven't had it since I was a kid! I remember the round box with the semi-soft wedges. Mmmmmmmmm!

The first time I saw it was at a restaurant at Bradley International Airport in CT.

I also remember a brand called "Helluva" which I believe came from upstate NY.

Nice! When I was a kid, my mother would give that to me as a nighttime snack. A few Laughing Cow wedges, a cut up apple, and peanuts.

I believe it's "Cheese Food", not actual cheese.

But is still rules. Try just ripping off the tip of a wedge's foil, then squeezing the cheese out of it onto fresh bread or a cracker.

Good Times.
