Benedict Arnold: A Question of Honor
120 min.
Aidan Quinn and Kelsey Grammer deliver commanding performances as Benedict Arnold and George Washington, respectively, in this 2003 cable drama recalling the fall of the infamous patriot.
The story begins with Arnold at his pinnacle, heroically commanding battles in Quebec and Saratoga, N.Y., in 1776. But the war hero, whom Washington loves like a son, then begins a tragic descent marked by financial setbacks and Congress's failure to credit him for his victories. Worst of all, he marries Philadelphia socialite Peggy Shippen (Flora Montgomery), a loyalist Lady Macbeth who fuels his bitterness and persuades him to turn his back on the countrymen who have seemingly forgotten him.

Cast: Aidan Quinn, Kelsey Grammer, Flora Montgomery, John Light, John Kavanagh, Tom Murphy, Nick Dunning, Michael Grennell, Jane Brennan
Category: Movie, Drama
Release Year: 2003

I recently became interested in him while studying for an American History exam. I have no idea how good/not good this movie is, but if you dont mind learning something about one of the men who built this great country, maybe try and catch it on one of the above listed dates/times. I'm watching it tonight (while taping RandF). I'll get back with a review.

Good question Anders! His name is William Mastrosimone. He also wrote The Burning Season, as well as With Honors.

It was actually a pretty good flick. Tough to accept Frasier as George Washington, but luckily he wasnt on too too much. Aidan Quinn did a superb job as Arnold. And his wife had nice hooters. (i love the outfits from that period!). And yes, it was educational. Even I learned a thing or 3. I recommend it. From the additional posts on this thread, I'm guessing no one really cares, but hey--that doesnt stop Kaga, why would it stop me?
