i think the video is very BEAUTIFUL...it is a song that offers people a lil hope if they suffer from self esteem issues...

I SUFFER from issues like that and when i TRUELY listen to the words and NOT TO MENTION her stellar voice it really makes me believe that i can do what ever i want and that i will be somebody one day..

its NOT FUCKED UP if you are open minded to what is going on in the video adn what messages are being portrayed!

The thing that I have to say about Christina Aguillera in her defense is that she can sing...that girl has a set of pipes on her like a mofo. Having said that I feel that her image is the absolute worse and this girl needs a new agent that will allow her to exploit her talents and focus away from this whore image...She needs an overhaul and a writer to help her pump out something powerful on her pipes...

She explains (in an MTV special) that this album is truely about her... what she's all about.

Her slutty thoughts, her confidence or lack of care for anyone who wants to 'put her down'.

'STRIPPED' is exactly that... she's giving herself to you raw... in the flesh, nothing fake, nothing made-up or manufactured..(which is silly since she wears extentions, fake lashes and crazy eye make-up)

Anyway.. I think she is extremely talented, and rather than coming completely out of her Freaky Closet, she should gradually grow into her image.. kinda like how Madonna did it.

First make sure your career will be available to you for years to come and then go and bare all and create a very raunchy and drastically sexy image for yourself.

In any case, I love her songs, I love her music, I love her style, but the attitude needs to be cut.

Y'know, she can claim how "real" she is and how this album is so "deep", but she willingly and effectively negated all of that by releasing a song like "Dirrty" as the lead off single AND strutting around in assless chaps for about four months straight.

From what I've heard about her childhood- being involved in the kiddie talent circuit from an early age and dealing with the jealousy of her school mates and competiveness of her peers- I think this poor girl has some really deep self esteem issues. It's saqd really, because wash her face and put some clothes on her and she' probably prettier than Brittany and has a better voice too. I really like the song. The video made me sad, but I think it sends a powerful message to those looking for more substance than batchability. I think her career will have a longer run than Brittany's if she can keep from self destructing. A stylist might not be a bad idea either.
