Sounds familiar, I guess I should dust off my old vinyl LP.
I do remember the freak that managed them, Kim Fowley.

All of the songs of theirs that I have heard, I liked. I just have to get my lazy ass out too the record shop and pick some up. I am currently digesting my 70's Scorpions and Rasperries. The Runaways are on my list. I was also a HUGE fan of Lita Ford in the 80's. Granted there was more batching than listening, still, I rocked either way.

My worst experience with acid was when I was listening to "In Trance". I still cringe when I hear that song. Same with "He's a Woman, She's a Man". Freaky.

Way back in the 70's I hung with a bunch of guys.It was in our friend Dave's basement named The Speakeasy. All they boys came through with the Ramones, etc.I swore I would find THE greatest album from an all chic band and it was The Runaways...Shit, I impressed the guys that night.Saw them in a little bar in Bergen county and they all me to buy them 8 tracks of them!

Sure do.......I'm on a compilation CD that features Cherie Currie and her band The Street Walking Cheetahs, ad she did a remake of the classic "Cherry Bomb". The CD is called "Full Blast", The Main Main Comp Vol 2 from Main Man Records ( originals done by local New Jersey rising rock stars ), and I have 5 or 6 extra copies if anybody's interested........just send me a e-mail here.

Yeah, they were good in their day; much better than Fanny or G.T.O. You just knew at the time that Kim Fowley would find a way to rip them off. Solo-wise, I liked that song "Blueberry" by Lita Ford. I saw Joan Jett several years ago in Richmond, Va. and she played for 50 minutes.

Did you actually read the thread, or are you just post whoring by pulling up old threads?

OK, first of all, this about the band, not the comic.

Secondly, don't go on a tear and bring back years-old threads left and right for no good reason.

Speaking of the Runaways... Did anyone else see that documentary on HBO (or showtime... one of those channels). I don't know how old it is, but I saw it a few days ago. It was very "trainwrecky" but interesting anyway.

I liked the pictures more than the music.

We kidded ourselves they were better than they were at the time.

Oh sure, they had a few songs that weren't too embarrassing.

But honestly, when you heard the Donnas, you knew how bad the Runaways were, if by then you still harbored any illusions, right?
