Yeah, the missle defense ABM shield is great.

If you discount the minor fact that it starts the arms race anew...

And that it can be defeated by a satchel nuke, or a tactical nuke detonated within the US...

And that it doesn't protect from biological weapons, easily brought into the country w/o need of an ICBM...

And that it has only worked in 1 (one) test out of 10...

And the concept itself seems flawed...

And that a greast success is measured at 80% efficiency, which will leave only a few tens of million of people dead...

And that it will cost over a trillion dollars which the country can afford even less than usual thanks to Bush's attemnpt to buy popularity with a tax cut.

I agree with HK. Let's not forget that the testing phase only has made Russia and China closer and now they have made a treaty with each other because of this.

first of all the red countries are still scared of us and Putin is Bush's bitch..and it has worked 2 out of 4 times..it worked one out of three till this time...who know next time it could be 3 out of 5 then 4 out of 6...this could be it..its better to be protected then worrying

CIRCUS BOY - That's just the point. The missle shield will not protect us. Instead it will expose us to greater threats such as increased alliances against America and prolificartion of small tactical nukes that do not need to be launched via ICBM.
