Last night, Kobe Bryant set the record for the most 3's in one game (12). Hell if you take 30-40 shots a night, it will eventually happen. But he is far from the best of all time.
Now who would you put your money on (in their prime), if you were a betting man/woman or owned a team like Mark Cuban? [I'm not that old so I can't mention shooters farther past the '80s.]
Best 3 Pt. Shooter: Larry Bird
Most Clutch 3 Pt. Shooter: Reggie Miller

I would go with Reggie also.
The UnClutch shooter i would have to go with John Starks.
Though Steve Kerr and John Paxson weren't the stars of the old Bull teams, they were bclutch on 3's for them

I don't follow the NBA much, but I know Larry Bird and Reggie Miller were the shit when it came to three's.

Michael Jordan. The best clutch athlete in any sport, ever.
Reggie Miller is a close second, but only when it comes to threes.

Craig Hodges...maybe not the most clutch in games, but he was great in the shootout contests.

Michael Jordan. The best clutch athlete in any sport, ever. Not to discount his Airness on clutchness but on shooting 3s?!? If I had to put my life on the line, I would want Reggie throwin it up.
and by the way, Kobe didnt take 30 shots...he was 12-18 in 3pt fgsmetalsatan, I know that. But what I meant was if you take that many shots he tok 4 shots I believe earlier in the season) you would eventually, even by dumb luck mind you, you may have the hot hand and hit that many 3 point shots.
Hell if the 3 Pt. Shot was instituted prior to the '80s maybe it wouldn't be 12 as the new record.

Let's not forget Trent Tucker!
I've been trying for years now to do exactly that. Man, I hated him and the second coming of him...John Starks.

Sheepy made this sig. Thank you Sheepy.
Dell Curry and Dan Majerle could be clutch 3-point shooters too.

I know as much about basketball as I do about Nuclear Physics. But I was convinced to join a Basketball fantasy league in 1992 with draft help from a friend. It was fairly late in the draft, but when I spoke the name of Trent Tucker (at the advisement of this friend), everyone in the room but me fell on the floor laughing, and I still haven't lived it down.
Damn you, Trent Tucker!
