Mostly just European and Asian countries, at least in terms of basic geography. I guess it's a little easier to remember when you've actually got other countries on either side of you instead of a couple huge oceans or layer after layer of states. Personally, I've found memorizing the makeup of the various continents easier than remembering each of the American states. Not sure why...
