He's overrated. His movies are overrated. Now there's this big deal about Kill Bill. Looks stupid, won't make any money (like most of his movies). He's like a Spike Lee or something. Uma Thurman as an action star? C'mon. He should have given that role to a more worthy actress like Elizabeth Berkeley or Cindy Crawford. Even Ma-fucking-donna! But not Uma. Uma is very ugly and very skinny. QT sucks. Spike Lee sucks too. This is my opinion.
what the hell are you talking about pulp fiction, reservoir dogs, and boondock saints were amzing fucking movies!!! and have u ever seen Do the Right Thing? its a great friggin movie. and its really special cuz ive visited the neighborhood it was shot in and i saw where the pizza place was!
these two directors kick ass!!!!

I'mmore concerned about the fact that you think Uma Thurman's ugly.

I didn't think Jackie Brown was all that great.

He may suck for stealing others ideas, but he has made great movies.
Cindy Crawford? an actress? playing yourself does not a good actress make.
Uma is hot, Spike Lee is overrated.

I'm pretty sure czm was kidding about Berkely and Crawford. And I agree, although I enjoyed pulp fiction, and LOVE Resevoir Dogs, this one looks like his version of a chick flick. Charlies Angels meets Hidden Dragon. Sure, I'll probably see it eventually on hbo. But I'm not as excited as I'm "supposed" to be.

This isn't supposed to be some "huge", "event" film...Tarantino himself has just said that it's simply the kind of balls-to-the-wall chop socky/female revenge flicks he loved as a kid all rolled into one. He's already started pre-production on his next "serious" film, an as-yet-unamed WW2 drama. I'm going in to see "Kill Bill" expecting a good two hours of insane, bloody fun.
Works for me.

do the right thing, SOS, 25th hour, are AMAZING fucking films. not so notable but still enjoyable School Daze and He Got Game. spike lee is a great director.
now QT has DONE some great directing, as of Res. dogs pulp fiction etc. but not EVRY film by a director catches the eye of acclaim. i mean come on, even Marty S. has "Waking the Dead"

I liked uma's look in pulp fiction.
And she looked good in the Adventures of Baron Munchousen(?)

Pulp Fiction? What the fuck was that?
Your opinions are as ridiculous as Billy Staples' conspiracy theories.
Oh ya...."Resevior Dogs" didn't introduce a new genre of movie making either.. Someone should start a thread titled "CZM Sucks".....ya...that would be just right.

I dont think you are expressing an opinion my friend. I just disagree with your opinion about QT. I think he is a terrific writer and brings like real conversations to movies that hadnt been seen in a long time. And my line that I left before was a lil joke and if ya cant take it that way then Im sorry, I dont know what to tell you.
A lot of people dont like Jackie Brown and I admit even the middle part gets a little humdrum. But JB represents Taratentino's maturity as a writer. How he has developed the story and helps lead it towards a climax. I am really interested to see Kill Bill and if qyentin has grown even further as a writer and a director.

QT is brilliant. Spike Lee should be making wedding videos.

But JB represents Taratentino's maturity as a writer.
Actually, it's based on Elmore Leonard's book "Rum Punch". Although QT "wrote" the film, it's almost equal to doing a book report, but it is a fine film, and very clever.
Personally, I think he did influence how some films are made. I think there are "disciples" of his style out there, and I have yet to see a film he made that I didn't enjoy.
But if CZM doesn't like him, so be it, that's his thing.

Don't look for growth in "Kill Bill". Tarantino's just doing this as an homage to all his favorite B-movie action flicks...

If you people need to be told what makes a great movie I'll gladly tell you. Here are the Ingredients to a blockbuster.

Bruce Willis No Plot Tits and Ass Special FX Lots of explosions and Kid Rock on the sountrack

There you go brats. Be happy I'm not charging yahz. So hop along down to your local Blockbuster(you know I'm right) and rent according to my recipe. I'll be down at Hollywood Video laughing at yahz.

I stand corrected..."Hudson Hawk" minus Kid Rock...Golden.

Tarantino did not make "The Boondock Saints". That was written and directed by Troy Murphy. But I do recommend it to all QT fans.
