View Full Version : Puerto Rican Day Parade Seinfeld on tonight @ 7:30
This was the second to last episode of the series and caused a major controversy when Kramer trys to stamp out a burning Puerto Rican Flag at the Puerto Rican Day parade. After complaints were filed I swore I heard that they pulled this episode out of the syndication deal and that it would never be aired again. On the whole, the episode was a weak attempt at repeating the feeling of the "Chinese Restaurant", but for the ending it will be worth seeing if they left it in tact.

I'm with you on that one. In fact, I thought the boys did a whole 'bit' on episodes that should be pulled off the air of all kinds of shows based on this decision. I hope they left it alone, but I won't hold my breath.
...silent, but violent.

You're absolutely right, the episode was supposed to never be shown again.
I've seen it before and its not one of their better episodes. But if you've never seen it you should watch it.

I think they did pull it, then put it back with the flag burning edited out.
I know I've seen it in syndication before.

I wish they had pulled it just because it's one of the worst episodes in the entire series. Not as bad as the finale, but almost.

I just watched it and they did indeed show the flag burning and Kramer stomping it out.

There was an article in the Post a week or so ago about this episode being slipped back into the syndication rotation. I don't know how syndication royalties go, but I guess it's a good thing for anyone who was a part of that episode who gets a cut. <P>
