I am making a book of love poetry for my boyfriend as a Valentine's Day present. I have included original poems that I have written for him as well as famous poems (past and present). Do any of you have any love poems that I could include in my book? Make sure you write the title and author so I can give credit where credit is due. I would love originals as well as famous ones. Thanks!

Here's one that I wrote:
A POEM OF COMPLETION
Laughter
Rings in my ears
To ease away
The falling tears
I reach for you
In light, in dark
Upon my being
You've made a mark.
Life before
Has fade to black
Emptiness filled
No turning back.
Today I seek
Tomorrow's heat
And in your arms
I am complete.

Western wind, when will thou blow
The small rain down can rain?
Christ, if my love were in my arms
And I in my bed again!

As the snow and the cool winds blow,
The branches bare their twisted skin;
But the chill air still lets me know,
Of how your cheek glows from within.
The softest touch of fresh snowflakes,
Reminds me of your shoulder's touch;
It melts upon my tongue and makes
My heart reach up. My fingers rough
Caress your skin, those slopes of white;
Staring at these lands I call mine,
To cover as much as I might,
With my soul, my heart, and my eyes.

I love this poem ... from Patch Adams.
Sonnet XVII
By Pablo Neruda
I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that never blooms but carries
in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way
that this: where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.

Roses are red, horses are brown.
Let's saddle up, and go to town.
<img src=http://atamichimpo.50megs.com/images/skidcoloredmeelsig.jpg>
Hold me tight
and dont let go.
Wrap me like a blanket
be my sequrity
What i wouldnt give,
To be safe in your arms.
To shutter from your touch
To breathe you in deep.
We would lay in bed all day.
Stealing long needed kisses.
Running my finger nails up and down your back.
Sharing secrets and promise not to tell.
I have no desire to be anywhere else, my Love.
Nothing else would make me as hellp.
I dont need anything else,
as much as i need you.
Learn the curves of my body.
Memorize the shape of my back.
Take in the smell of my hair.
Know me and feel me.
Stay with me forever.
lets run away together.......
Hand in Hand.

Cascading
Cascading water
A waterfall
Clouds
Lots of them
Light and puffy
You know.....clouds!
And flowers, covered with dew
And trees hanging over
And you and me, naked on a rock.

"Come Live With Me and Be My Love" I believe it's by John Dunne (?)
I think you should include this
poem:
Pools of inurement
litter the cold ground,
no one around.
I wander on searching
for laughter and sequirity,
for someone to play with me.
Your peace and
your beauty have no equal,
your film would have no sequel.
You uncage my soul
and allow me to run free,
allow me to be me.
On Valentine's Day I
want no other,
except maybe the guy that
played your brother.
MacCauley is so sexy
and he's rich to boot,
plus his ass is so cute.
So for V-day I ask only
one gift from you my lover,
can I have MacCauley's number?
