If he is your hero why do you wish him no success, that doesnt make sense. I would look at it as his chance to move up and make some money. If he is your hero you should be happy he has one of the most prestigious jobs in football. And Piazza played for two other teams before the mets was he your hero then also or just when he plays for a home town team

As a Jet fan, I'm just happy he diddn't go to the dolphins. Wannstat did such a bad job in the last 2:00 of the Pats game, I thought he was canned. I feel bad for the Giants though. Ya gotta remember that Bill is just a mercenary who goes where the money is at. (going to the Cowboys IS a bit extreme though)

i don't even give a shit. everyone jerks off about bill parcells but he's won two superbowls. he's a good coach but he's also an asshole and i think his play calling is boring as hell.

it wasnt wandstadt who blew it for the dolphins it was the playcalling of Norv Turner. As a redskin fan i know all to well what happened. In the 4th quarter with the lead Norv called the plays so as not to lose the game rather then calling plays to win the game, it happened all to frequently here for 7 years

Bill Parcells reasoning when he left the Jets was his concern for both his family life and his own physical health. These issues must have disappeared from his mindset for one reason or another when the Cowboys came knocking on his door. Is anyone else sick of coaches citing that their family and health concerns are the reasons they leave a job a mere year later. Every coach does it--Danny Ainge quit as coach of the phoenix suns so he could be with his family and see his kids grow up and then took a job as an NBA analyst for tnt a month later. I wish the coaches would just tell the truth, i would respect parcells more if he said i'm leaving the jets because i hate the fans, the management and the city of new york and was honest then throwing out that tired line of family.

Parcells is my hero because he took the giants, a shitty team for decades and won two superbowls with them. He took the jets, a 1 win team 2 years before to the AFC championship game. He is a great coach. Why i would wish him failure is the fact that I hate the cowboys more than I hate that "can you hear me now guy?". I hate the cowboys more than I hate the Baja Men. You as a redskins fan should know that.

Now that you have stated you are a skins fan though, I must tell you, it is my fav thing to do in the AM on monday and turn into the Junkies or 980 and listen to sonny jurgenson just bash your MEDIOCRE team. I've been hearing it for almost ten years now! It's fucking great!

He takes the challenges of rebuilding a team like no one else... he wants power and is given it.. he turned around the giants... he made the New England Patriots popular and contenders every year.. he turned around the Jets.He brought Martin wiht him from NE and draft Pennington and gave Chrebet a chance. He is a great coach with a high price... in 5 years time he will have Dallas back...

And although i hate dallas nothing and i repeat nothing is worse then fucking Baltimore Ravens fans they are the absolute worst. It's very simple. Although I hate the Cowboys its like this. COWBOYS, you either love em' or hate em'. If you love em' it's becouse they are your team or you just like to hop on the band wagon. If you hate them is becouse they beat your team. No one hates the nobody's, no one cares about the 'Aints.

Now as far as tuna's dicision.. Every hear of The great Tom Landry? he was a coaches coach like Lombardi and the rest we know... to coach a team with the fame of the cowboys and to have the talent that tuna has to bring them back to the greatness of the 1972 cowboys would be a great feather in tuna's cap and imagine that following him to that all of fame... when some little kid and his dad look at the tuna and his accomplishments and along with giants , reads coach of dallas cowboys super bowl winners... I stopped watching the NBA after Barkley retired, was Ainge an announcer for games or just an in-studio analyst?

I'm not doubting Parcells's ability as a coach. There really is no argument that he is one of the all-time greats. However, it boggles my mind that the Jets were more or less willing to pay whatever it took to keep Parcells and he refused, citing family reasons, then accepts another coaching job 3 years later.
