more and more i see these wacko actors and actresses trying to think for us. they need to stick to acting, not politics. since when do they have the right to tell us what to drive and what to eat.

is there anyone in hollywood who likes their steak medium rare, their beer cold and their music loud?

The problem is that those people work in a fantasy world, and are paid top dollar, so they live a extravagent lifestyle way above the norm. They become deluded to the real world and it's problems, and become limousine liberals who think their opinions and ideas are truly inspirational to the rest of us non-beautiful people............Whew, I'm done with my rant now, I need a beer.

forgot to add their cars fast and their women loose.

They can say whatever they want, we don't have to listen. They are a bunch of people with a warped sense of reality. The only thing I want to hear is why I should or shouldnt see their next movie.

That's the problem, we DO have to listen because their self-importance seeps into all walks of life if a famous enough person tries to tell us how to live.

If it really bothers you start throwing facts at them. Let them know how little they really know about said subjects.

Most know little or nothing about what they're talking about, while some actually do seem to be slightly knowledgable or genuinely passionate about a cause or two. But again, like the rest of us, they can only know as much as we can, simply through research or what they see on the news or read in the paper. It's just they have access to public avenues where they can make morons of themselves for the whole world to see.

Bingo-bango-bongo. The type of crappy "liberal" who only knows what the Democrats tell her, yet would be terrified to actually read "The Nation". Putz.

I'm only partially bothered by this. I have no problem with him wanting to go over there and see for himself what Iraq looks like these days. If I could, I would as well. He just comes off as a fool when he pretends like he say EVERYTHING there is to see and that he understands everything he saw. Feh.

i agree but it's not totallly there fault, it's these fucking bullshit tabloids that give them this holier than thou attitude.

they give way too much credit to these stars, most of them have marginal talent at best. but the people who put them on pedestals are just as bad as the actors themselves.

I really don't have a problem with Sean Penn's visit to Iraq because he is totally neutral towards the war and is using the visit to form an opinion. Even better, he is not relying solely on the sugar-coated Iraq to decide if he is supportive of military action in Iraq.
