What's with the big-ass flaw in the new "Ocean's 11"?

Alright, I really enjoy this film, but something is bothering me. How did they get all the porn flyers that they blew up in the vault and that were packed in the bags that were in the exploding van down into the vault? Clooney and Damon don't have any bags or backpacks. The Asian can barely fit in the cart, which is all that they smuggled down there besides the suitcase.

I guess the gang could have brought some down in the backpacks they were wearing when they were disguised as the SWAT team, but that only covers the flyers in the vault as that the van with the bags had already left.

It's obviously not just a video feed since Garcia is standing in the vault surrounded by charred flyers. And where the hell did the bags even come from? Garcia's men only picked them up to load in the van, so Clooney, Damon and the Asian already had them down there. Whaaaaaaa-?!?

that movie's almost 2 years old. if someone hasn't seen it yet, they weren't that eager to see it, so who cares about spoilers.

good point about the porn fliers, but they switch the video feed from taped to live infront of Terry Benedict after they leave the casino.

I know that, but he's obviously standing in the real vault, surrounded by scorched fliers, so the mystery still remains. When the feed switches actually isn't important to this issue.

I don't remember if they showed it, but wouldn't the "SWAT Team" have walked into the joint with the same sized (and filled the same) bags that they walked out with?

If so, they would have been large enough to hold the same amount of flyers as the amount of caysh that they took out, and probably enough room left for the folded-up, soft-lined duffle bags.

Just a theory.

I missed the fact where you said that the van had left before the swat team got there...

...so much for my initial theory.

Damn, now my head hurts. Might have to watch it again.

you raise a good point with this. i'll have to re-watch it again. i believe you're right though.

while we're on the subject of flaws in movies, has anyone caught the BIG one in the movie Payback with Mel Gibson, when the chinese gang slams into him with their car, and his body smashes into the windshield cracking the glass of the entire windshield. yet when they back the car up after it though, the glass is perfectly in tact without a scratch. love that one.

Well, the site Kaga pointed out has a note that says Soderbergh himself admits that there's no way for the fliers or bags to be down there. Whoops. I was kinda hoping for a solution...killer site, though. Thanks.

They never switch back to the live feed. Remember, he's down there and his security guy was still looking at the video without Bellagio on the floor.

Actually, he asks the security guy to review what they had taped. He was standing in the vault looking at the Bellagio on the floor. The security guy rewinds their security tape. They are not looking at a live feed at this point.

There's a scene where Matt Damon and Brad Pitt are standing in the casino, and Pitt's eating shrimp ( what the hell, it seems he's always eating in this flick ), and each change of scene has him eating shrimp from a bowl, then a plate, then a bowl again. It's not so much a plot flaw, but just goes to show the movie wasn't planned very well ( I guess all the budget went to the cast ).
