I have to be. Who the hell has a kid on purpose, especially the first born? My thinking is that the first is a mistake, the middle ones are on purpose, and the last kid is a few missed pills.

well i know i was. my mom and dad were supposed to start law school together (so they barely had money for themselves) and my mom gets pregnant with me and has to start a year later. i've asked her about it and she denies to this day i was an accident. i'm not dumb, but it's sweet she would never admit it.

I'm the youngest of three, with a six year gap. There's two years between the other two. I've pretty much accepted the fact that I wasn't a 'planned pregnancy'. What gave it away was the carboard box shoes and hot-rock breakfast I endured as a child

There's three of us, and none of us were planned, but we have never been refered to as mistakes. 
I'm the oldest and was a surprise, my sister was born 10 months later, you know latin twins. Ten years later they had another surprise.

Mom was 33 when she became pregnant with me.
She already had 3 kids, had high blood pressure and the doctors warned her that if she didn't abort, there would be complications and one of us would die during childbirth.
She explained to them that she didn't believe in abortions and had an Almighty-Powerful God who she prays to and will help her through this.
8 months later. I was born, she was fine, and now my sister says I'm a SURPRISE, (not a mistake), even though we all know I wasn't planned.

I'm the firstborn, and was planned... although I took a damn long time (three years of ''trying really hard'' on my parents' part, and then I was an entire month late, to boot). My first brother (almost 2 years younger) was the result of a broken rubber, and my youngest brother (13 years younger, and the product of Dad's 2nd marriage) was, in my father's words, ''a mistake in retrospect.''
