My name is Bobby PanterA....and I'm a Game-aholic.
I've been a Game-aholic since I was 7 and got my very first Atari system. It started with pac man, then moved to Donkey Kong, before I knew it I couldn't stop going to arcades.
The only presents I would ever want are video games. My parents even used the buying of video games as goals for me to do well on tests and report cards!
To this very day I yearn to play my video games. I think about them at work. All I want to do is come home and play Counter Strike or Playstation.
I find myself buying games because I want them in my collection. I wont necessarily play them but just put them in my repertoire of games.
I sometimes spend 10 - 12 hours a week on playing video games. And I am always looking towards the future of games. Virtual Reality gaming will be the end of me. I will have absolutely no social life. I will be a SIM!!!
I don't even know if I want to be cured of this...But I do feel better letting that out.
If there are any of you like me...PLEASE join me and get it off your shoulders.
Welcome to VGA. (Video Gamers Anonymous)

I too am a Game-Aholic.
My life revolves around sitting on a couch or chair and staring at a screen.
I play at least 15 hours a week and am proud of it. When I think of the manliest (i don't think thats a word) person in america, I don't think of an actor or a celebrity, I think of Solid Snake.
There is nothing better than getting some chips, a soda, a sandwich and settling in with that special game.
I will grow up and merry Princess Peach or Princess Zelda.
Thank for you time VGA-ers.

Hi my name is Metal S and I too am a game-aholic. I have been one since about the age of 6 when my dad bought some really old video game system(mainly for himself)...Its 9 AM and I cant remember the name of it so leave me alone!...I remember playing it for hours everyday. My parents didnt really mind but it was starting to affect my schoolwork...I was unable to tear myself away from the controller to color in my cows or listen to my mom read me a story...What? I was 6 remember...anyhoo, I am now I am now 23, and I still suffer from this disease. I have a huge collection of PSone, PS2, and PC games. I have recently been playing the franchise mode of NBA2k3 for hours...previous to that, slaving a total of 68 hours over my PS2 playing GTA Vice City(it shows how many hours you have played)...after I finish NBA2K3, I will be moving on to SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth...god knows that has a long story mode and I will be on it for months...
But I dont mind it that much
What do I have to say? This is not a bit!

My name is BlakJeezis C.
I'm a Game-a-holic.
Ever since I woke up to the strains of Super Mario Bros echoing from the living room, I've been hooked. I spend a lot of money on the latest systems and games. I own both a PS2 and a Gamecube. I got a surround sound system to enhance my play and to push me that little bit further out of the real and into the virtual. I play almost everyday. I have broken more controllers than I care to think about by throwing them in fits of rage.
I am pathetic. Here's why. For all my time spent playing, for all the thousands of dollars invested in the games and systems and controllers and sound systems, I'm no damn good. **sobbing** I can't beat any game. The only game I've ever beaten is The Legend of Zelda a Link to the Past. That's it. **wailing and beating fist on desk** I stiiiiiiiink! I'm horrible, a complete video game loser. I play all genres, first person, sports, RPG, you name it, and I stink at every one. I've read walkthroughs, tried cheat codes, nothing works. I am at rock bottom. Someone help me please.

I'm Bobby F. and I am also addicted to video games.
I went over my bud's and played Madden 2003, NHL 2K3, Smackdown! Shut Your Mouth for about seven hours last night.
We do that a couple times a week now and when we're not playing we are watching G4TV aka THE VIDEO GAME CHANNEL on digital cable!!!
NHL 2K3 sucks by the way. NHL 2003 is way better.

I'm Lisa C. and I am a gameaholic. I dream of them. I go to work and I can't concentrate because my mind is preoccupied with how I'm going to beat that last level I was working on. I am so obessed that I have almost convinced myself that I am, in fact, a video game character. For the past month, I have been living in Vice City. I skip work and school sometimes to sit home and play. When I finish a game that I was really into, I mourn for days. Help me.

HI, Felix DG here, and I too am a game-aholic. I have been ever since that first day in an arcade with a pocket full of quarters. I would go out early, stay out late it was really hurting me and my family life. I would check payphones for change and even went as far as to shout Fire in a crowded arcade in hopes that someone would run out and leave their quarters on the machine. Soon it became so big that I bought this addiction into my own home. I would sit and play for hours on end, forget to eat and not sleep. Now Im just a mess I play games all the time. I don't think there is a cure.

I'm Chairman K. and I'm forming a support group for the significant others of game addicts. It will be called Game-Anon.
Ever since giving my girlfriend PS2, she's more interested in carjackings on GTA Vice City and sword play on Two Towers and killing people on Final Fantasy 10 than in doing things like.... ;-)
I don't understand the games of today. I try and try but the more sophisticated they get, the more I hate them.
Is there a way I can find a Playstation 1/4 on ebay and start from there and gradually work my way up? I missed a whole generation of video games....I feel like my grandmother does when she looks at a DVD player or a computer or a cd.
HELP!!!

I'm glad we all have a place to come together and express our passion towards gaming.
Chairmen, we need more people like you....people that have the time and patience to take us in and love us...not that i love you....alright does everything HAVE to be gay!?! geez.
Anyway, Please share some of your memorial Video Game experiences. The time you were at the last guy and your mom turned the game off.
I'll tell a story about my very first time beating a video game in an arcade. It was Golden Axe. I was in Laces roller rink in Long Island, and me and this chinesse kid beat the game. He was the worrior and I was Dwarf. It cost me $12 in quarters. I got 1st place...and I was happy all week. I would brag about it that I beat that game in an arcade!
Then next time I went to Laces my name was gone, and I was so mad, but I couldnt bring myself to beat it again.
