Tired of the ladies on the Bachelor scrambling for a guy just because he's a millionaire and pretending they want him cause he's a decent man? This is your show! In the ultimate set-up, fox is telling 10 (or so) women that they have a chance at marrying a man who recently inherited $50 million dollars. Theyll do the regular bachelor show stuff, trying to get him to pick them because theyre the better choice. He will get to pick one of the ladies, at which time she will be told the truth, that he is a low paid blue collar construction worker with no $. Will she walk out? Will she see the romance thru? I cant see this show being very interesting week to week, but the 1st and last episodes are must see's in my book. Debuts Jan 6th, 2003.

I saw the commercial and was intrigued. . .then disgusted.

Of course, that's kind of like what happened with the "who wants to marry a millionaire?" show, isn't it? He wasn't worth jack and he's had restraining orders against him? At least they're being honest this time. . . sort of.

But it's truly like a train wreck - you know it's bad but you just gotta watch!

If I weren't taking night classes this semester, I'm sure I'd be watching. Oh well.
I guess I'm not really missing much.

The premise is flawed. I'm assuming that the creators stupidly want to show women in a poor light as shallow and greedy. But that would only work if they were falling in love with this guy based on who he really is. But he's playing a "part", pretending he's this rich guy, so he's not actually presenting himself. It's not that their just going to say he's rich; they're making a whole new past and history for him that he has to play up to. So the women will be falling for a character, not the guy himself.

I hope they all punch him in the sac as they leave.

Just a reminder. tonight is the Finale. It's down to 2 women; one who appears to be in it for the $ (she's the s&m video girl), and one who appears to be in it for "love". Naturally, I'm hoping for him to pick the $ hungry one, for entertainment value when he tells her he's not a millionaire. They say in the ads that theres yet another unexpected twist to the show..my guess?: The butler is really a millionaire. He kinda sucks at being a butler, yeah? The 2 hour finale begins at 8pm on FOX.

I don't watch the show, but a rumor I read on another site was pretty amusing. "Joe Millionare" is actually twin brothers and the last two are the women that each of them picked. Dunno how reliable the info was, but it makes an amusing twist.

This hardly tops when I admitted to watching Sorority Life. And for those who care (toocute), RandomNY is right. Zora accepted his offer, saying it was never about the $ for her. So the butler gave them a check for $1,000,000 --presumably 500,000 a piece should things not work out. I dont think the finale had to be stretched out to 2 hours, and I still think "my" idea on the surprise wouldve been more "shocking".

A 2 hour finale is a little much , but the payoff in the end was a pleasant surprise. It was nice to see the dirt poor chic get a couple of sheckles. Maybe now she can afford to join a gym and tighten up a little.

Anyway, I liked Zora. She was going to sell some of her jewelry to pay for an aunt's operation in eastern europe.

As to Evan, am I the only one who thinks he's, ah, gay? If this is true, Zora will need someone to console her (and her $500,000). Lambertville is only an hour away from where I live.
