cd to listen to while cleaning?

For like 10 years Liz Phair's "Exile in Guyville" has been there for me as the soundtrack to my Pledge polishing, Windex washing, Endust dusting and Mop n Glow mopping.

But I picked up the excellent When The Roses Bloom Again by Laura Cantrell last night and after a decade of Liz it's now Laura. I'm feeling groovy, a great album, like a cross between Lucinda Williams and Emmylou Harris. And she has that great well scrubbed Liz Phair-esque look.

And she's a DJ on the world's greatest radio station:WFMU.

I feel like Mr. Clean now.

Come to think of it, I guess I look like Mr. Clean too.

I don't know if it's my most favorite, but its up there, recently I've been playing Jimmy Eat World's new CD Bleed American, its very good. It's good for a lot of different things, around the house stuff, driving, etc.

Lucky Denver Mint is just a song that is more than pleasant. It's on the album before Bleed American. You probably know that.

I'm all British, all the time when I do my monthly apartment cleaning. The Smiths, Idlewild, The Bluetones, Manic Street Preachers, New Order, Oasis, Elastica, Elbow...it gets me moving.

I do have to agree that bleed american is a good cleaning album. Its got the PRaise Chorus song, which always gets me pumped, and a bunch of other butt shakin songs
