OK, so I saw Two Towers. What stood out most to me was the amazing CGI; I mean Gollum looked like a living, breathing, something.... but by far the realest looking CGI I've ever seen.

That having been said, (this probably exists already), but in the near future, people are going to probably start making movies with all CGI actors, except they won't be a former Hobbit who is now a Gollum, but real people and.....children.

Which gets me thinking. What about child porn? If they make a CGI movie where adults are having sex with children, but the "actors" are not real, would this be helpful, i.e. decrease real child exploitation and give sicko pedophiles an outlet for their deviant behavior, or would it encourage it? Should there be a law (I know this is already being considered) that BANS computer generated child porn, sexual mutilation scenes, and snuff films, if no one is actually "hurt" since it's all computers?

I've seen some pretty messed up Japanese anime porn, very violent and sexual. But it still looks like a cartoon. But what happens when you can't tell the real from the fake?

The problem with that is that it simply condones and encourages those with these unacceptable fetishes. I'm all for variety, but allowing people to experience this, even if it's all "simulated", unfortunately encourages too many people to indulge in what should be a universally forbidden sexual act. Children should never, under any circumstance, simulated or not, be an outlet for sexual release. I'm even insulted by porn films that try to make the girls appear as young as possible. It's one thing to try and make a girl look like she's "just 18" or a "college girl gone wild", but anything below that says something about the people involved.

If Memory Serves, LA Blue Girl was actually made as a live action flick as well.

I was more surprised in Gladiator when Oliver Reed was CGI'ed onto his Stunt Double after he died.

THAT kind of technology scares me. We've gotten to the point where someone with half a brain can put together a realatively realistic fake picture of someone...

What's to stop someone of making CGI porn with famous celebrities? Who wouldn't pay good money to see CGI of Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jada Pinkett doing "The Oreo Connection Part 6"?

As for Japanese Porn, it's different strokes for different folks. Japan is a country where they sell used panties in vending machines, yet actually SHOWING female genitalia is verboten.

Don't forget - in other countries, the sexual content is high yet the violence content is low. The US is one of the few countries where that is in the reverse.

Japan has both high violence AND sexual content, but the taboos are quite different.
