i have often seen people who look like someone i know, only there a different race, ex. i saw a girl who looked like a friend of mine who is italian only this girl was chinese. any one else experience this and is it approrpriate??

Well if you go up to someone and say "I just saw someone like you CEPT THAT PERSON WAS BLACK" then yea, itd be racist. But if you said "hey, i saw someone who i coulda sworn was you" well then your not offending anyone and still getting the point across. >: )

Of course it's not racist. No one is so "color blind" that they don't notice that someone is from a different race. You're only a racist if you prejudge that person in any way.

People have become so politically correct and so fearful of being deemed a racist that it's insane. If I saw a black man who strongly resembled a white friend of mine, of course I'd say "I saw your double today, except he was black."

It's just a way of being descriptive, not bigoted.

A friend of mine was trying to point out a friend of his across a bar one night, and was going out of his way to NOT say "the Hispanic guy". Took me a good five minutes to realize who the hell he was talking about. Dingus.

ok cool i just worked for some big companies, and ive met alot tempermental people and been through a few company orientations and this made me very paranoid. i pretty much watch what i say these days.
