I guess I like ice hockey out of all the sports, and my favorite team is the NY Rangers.

Could there have been a sweeter victory when they FINALLY got the Stanley Cup in '94?

Does anyone remember this victory? I do!

Sometimes the longer you wait for a victory, the sweeter it is!

I'm not much of a hockey fan,but I remember the victory. When the sportscaster yelled "THE WAITING IS OVER",I got goosebumps.I still do when I see that footage, just like I do when I see the '80 usa team beating the russians.

I remember where I was when they won like I remember where I was during the Challenger Disaster, 9/11 or the day I met David Foster Wallace.

Unfortunately, it's getting longer and longer from that day and I'm getting older and older and hopefully I won't have Alzheimer's by the time the Rangers win another one.

Junior year in H.S. everyone was so happy except me. I said it was a fluke and i STILL say it was a fluke & new jersey would have beatten them to win the cup if it weren't for someone "overblown" & "cocky" remark about winning game 6 of the eastern conference finals.

I was in Chicago with 'the OJ' when the Rangers were taking their stroll down the Canyon of Heros.

hockey is my favorite sport to watch... that was a great moment. i remember during game 5 it was, when whats his name was singing the national anthem and the crowd was soooo loud you could not hear him sing it...

sent shivers up my spine.

LETS GO RANGERS!

here's little trivia... who is left on the rangers from the 1994 team... it actually is kinda easy now to figure out.

As a rabid Detroit Red Wings fan, I can relate to Ranger fans. When the Wings were swept by the hated Devils in '95, I was convinced I'd never see my boys win the Cup. I was on cloud nine when they swept the Flyers in '97 and the Caps in '98.

Oh yeah - last years's championship felt pretty good, too. :)

Messier and Leetch that I can think of....Richter if he hasn't retired yet(which he prolly will with the acquisition of Dunham and injuries)

Oakland Raiders: 9-4
Next: Miami
Rich Gannon for NFL MVP!!
Bill Callahan for Coach of the Year!!

Are you a Red Sox fan too? (lol) I always tend to root for the underdog.. just in my nature.

i do not think dunham will be replacing ritcher... in all honesty, i do not think that will happen... they will trade ritcher away for some good talent...

but yep, last 3 players... i should have made the question harder... who are the last players on the rangers from the 94 cup that are still with the rangers today(messier would be out of the question then)

I remeber that day in June very well. Still have my ticket stub here and did not get home til 5 am and showered and went back to work. Hey once in a life time events do not happen that frequently.

you have two choices: Castration or a one way ticket to New York
