...And if that wasn't evil enough
We get the drunken and passionate pride
Of the citizens along for the ride.

More WAR talk

SEOUL, South Korea -- Repeating an old demand, North Korea on Monday said the only way to prevent a war on the Korean Peninsula was by signing a non-aggression treaty with the United States.

Wait, I thought former President Clinton took care of this problem -- I guess not!

"In every place with a name
They play the same territorial game
Hiding behind the lines
Sending up warning signs

The whole wide world
An endless universe
Yet we keep looking through
The eyeglass in reverse
Don't feed the people
But we feed the machines
Can't really feel
What international means
In different circles, we keep holding our ground
In different circles, we keep spinning round and round

They shoot without shame
In the name of a piece of dirt
For a change of accent
Or the colour of your shirt
Better the pride that resides
In a citizen of the world
Than the pride that divides
When a colourful rag is unfurled."
- Rush, "Territories"

I don't know what the fuck is up with all of the cranky people in this world. Korea wants to start talking war, now.

I just don't understand why N. Korea wants to continue to fight. They are the ones who pledged not to pursue their nuclear weapons program after a hefty pay-off in 1994.

Ladies and gents, life looks pretty bleak for ol' Mother Earth lately.

Will we never learn? Yeah...that's what I think too.

It seems the only way to take of these problems with other countries is to show brute force, we need to fucking nuke something. Now go ahead tell about the "innocent people" and all that stuff, but if we dont do something to that extent, they are not going to stop until they can nuke us. We have to do something, unfortunatly we have a president who couldnt tie his own shoes, lets hope the next one ACTUALLY ACCOMPLISHES SOMETHING.

The plan was mastered and called genocide
Took all the children and then we died
A few that remained were never found
All in a system,down

Soup, we're not the only one's with nukes. In fact, were no longer entirely sure who has nukes and who doesn't. So dropping a nuke and pissing a whole lot of nuclear armed people off probably isn't a good idea.

Most countries are already intimidated by our strength. that's why i feel that they do things like demand non-aggression pacts in diplomatic wrestling matches. Or they protest and sometimes attack us, demanding that we remove our influences from their region. Everyone knows that we got the big guns, and they want to be sure that those guns aren't aimed at them.

Rooster, I think that n.korea is now backsliding on their deal because of the volitile world political environment. Bush has already named them as part of an "axis of evil." I think they are just using bargining chips to protect themselves from our animocity

I literally cringed when I heard Bush say that--I admit it.

N. Korea and China are two foes we want to move into the friend category if the world is to sustain life...indefinitely.

I agree Rooster. America cannot afford to alienate the entire world. Bush seems to be locked on some type of religious/moralistic lingo when he condemns other countries, i.e. "evildoers" and the "axis of evil". Personally, i don't want to upset the CHinese. Its been 50 years. Let's get over it. Let's stick around on this planet for awhile. The threat of annhilation is always there, but there is no need to push for it.

See Ya!

I'm just happy we can fight two "wars" at the same time.
