Mets management has become the laughing stock of all baseball. Rey goes from last place to last place, now he can complain about a new group of stupid fans. What a waste of talent. Why did the Mets brass get rid of Alfonzo....bad move. <P>

The Mets are absolutely screwed this year. There is almost no offense on this team. No bullpen, shady closer and only 2 decent starters. Now is the time to aggressively seek out either Griffey or Guererro.

Great news on Rey Rey's departure. I wonder what minor leaguers or big leaguers we get back in return. I hope it is Ben Grieve, I like his bat and I have not given up on him yet like I did with Rey Ordonez two years ago.

It is sad to see my boy Fozzy leave to the West Coast with Bonds and the rival Giants but it was a money thing and not personal. You guys keep forgetting that. He wanted around 8 mil and the Mets reported topped at 5.5 seeing how David Bell got signed around that figure. Like they always say, "its not personal, its just business". Fozzy, good luck.

Like I read in the Daily News yesterday: trade away Cedeno and Burnitz, free up some money for Stanton and bring in Nakamuru that you Met exs have been hyping for third and not Mueller or Randa, PLEASE! Then trade for a Cliff Floyd or try to get Griffey here before he nixes the trade like he did prior.

There is no way Vlad is going anywhere. I know there is a firesale going down in Montreal but Minaya, don't do it. You want to get some people in the stadium, right?

Glad to see him go. His glove is half what it used to be and 8 homers in 6 years doesn't cut it any more. Sory to see Alfonso go, but I agree with the decision. He has less than 30 home runs and 100 RBI's in 2 years put together. I would have offered him more, but not what San Fran gave him. Great on base percentage and will hit well in front of Bonds, but he has no speed, his range has declined and if his back is still bad he won't be worth half that money.

rey needed to go but Fonzie leaving sucks but he was after money.. mets offered 11million for 2yrs.. he wanted 17million.. they are gonna bring up Reyes at short which is good... Please for the love of god i hope they don't go for Griffey... He is done and washed up....i just hope they go for that japanse guy big time... he is not signing in Japan that is a given he just turned down a huge contract....
