Since Nemesis is the last next generation movie, who should be next? DS9, Voyager, or Enterprise?

The constant ass-raping of Gene Roddenberry's dead, bloated corpse. Whoops, too late.

I've actually thought about this, since I have nothing even remotely resembling a personal life, and thus I have enough time to think about things such as what the next Trek movie is going to be about.

Way I see it, they've got four options:

a) Make the next movie about DS9. This is problematic, as a lot of people probably don't even remember DS9, and I don't think it has much major appeal. Plus they killed off Avery Brooks, the bastards.

b) Make a Voyager movie. This is overall a bad idea, sicne Voyager was NEVER popular and is generally the least liked of all the Trek shows. You can't expect people to actually want to PAY to see this shit.

c) Throw a shitload of money at the TNG crew to convince them to do one more movie. Bring them all back again, and this time write a really, really kick-ass film. With Q as the main villain!!!

d) Just bite the bullet and try and develop a brand-new crew - one that is exclusive to film. Create new characters, develop a new story. If it works, they'll have injected fresh blood into franchise, and god knows that's sorely needed. If if's a failure, hey, at least you tried something different, and I'm certain that the effort would be tons better than if DS9 or Voyager made it to the big screen.

I think the last two options are the most viable.

The should do a transition show with Picard and 6 of 9. Leave that bulldyke Janeway out of it.

Rackin' up bad Karma since 1971!

Actually, they're backpedaling on whether it will actually be the last Next Gen movie or not. I think if the money rolls in, they'll make another...

If not, though, DS9 would be a great movie (It's my favorite series.). They could bring back the scattered characters (Technically, Cisco's not dead anyway, as I recall.).

A Voyager movie would suck ass, unless by some chance it was all 7 of 9, all nude, all the time. That's the only way to make Voyager vaguely watchable. Besides, what would a Voyager movie be about? They got home, for Christ's sake! (Sorry - I really hated that show...).

throughout the making of the NG films i have been most surprised that Q wasnt used in a storyline!

that would kick ass, the final test of Picard...

i would love to see a DS9 movie where they brought Sisko back. If not that, then an Enterprise movie.

Definatly not a Voyager flick.

Regarding a Voyager movie, Janeway is an Admiral (in Nemesis), and as mentioned before, they made it home, so not much to work with there.

There have been interviews with the members of TNG where many of them expressed willingness to do at least one more movie.

I think Enterprise is starting to shape up, so it might be worth seeing a movie with those characters.

Sisko isn't dead. Watch the episode again.

Honestly, I would like to see a totally new crew and a totally new story.

the reviews on Nemesis have not been kind. Even Trek fans are calling it among the worst of the films, and definitely the worst even numbered Trek.

How about letting the franchise die out for a while and let an underground interest build up? Between the over merchandising and some real garbage on tv (when your show's draw is getting the crew half naked each week, you have a problem story-wise), why not let it go for a while?
