Worst radio station EVER.
I bet if I turn it on right now I'll either hear "Under the Bridge" or "Smells Like Teen Spirit"

Tell me about it. That's the most hypocritcal thing about "alternative" stations. The one here in DC actually brags about not playing hip-hop, yet will bring out the Beastie Boys, Eminem, Cypress Hill, House of Pain and Everlast ever hour on the hour. Or that song the guy Linkin Park did with the X-Ecutioners. They honestly think that's NOT hip-hop? Please.

I like it. It's different. You want rock go listen to 104.3. Yawwwwwwwwn.
I like it too. But if you're gonna be "Alternative", go all the way. Play Radiohead. Play The Ramones. Play Nirvana. Play The Roots. Play Eminem. Play Massive Attack. Play Underworld. Play The Chemical Brothers. Do it fucking right or pay the price.

You know what, instead of cursing like an idiot like I'm wanting to, this is it.
I just tune out. Actually, my FM tuner is set to 102.7 WNEW, and it never moves. If Ron and Fez are not on it, I switch to 770 AM which is WABC here in NYC for political talk, or pop in the ol' CD of my choice.
I no longer allow radio to influence my life.
Anyway, there's no stations around here that play any Death or even Heavy Metal regularly, so fuck them all.

its tough to pick up those stations in the city because they're so close to other stations.
krock's like any other music station, the same 10 songs every hour. and nearly all of them suck. the ones that dont, are so played out you almost hate them. if it werent for r&f i wouldnt even bother listening to fm radio.
if you need new music, get it on internet radio. i use spinner.
Yeah, I have to vote with Seton Hall Pirate Radio WSOU 89.5 FM. Great metal station for the small area it covers.
Then there is WDHA 105.5 for western Jersey. Nice rock station, but nothing spectacular.

Remember good 'ole WDRE? Is it still around? We used to get that through the cable here in Jersey. Now that was a radio station. Haven't heard it or WLIR in a while.
Stern is an un-funny old turd and K-ROCK just blows.
I listen to R&F, the make-believe ballroom, or WNYC 820AM.

If any metal fans are ever in CT, 88.7 WNHU (University of New Haven) plays metal on Saturdays.

Uggh. God-awful pseudo metal crap - why can't those DJs cut loose with a little Hanson?
Your bark was loud, but your bite wasn't vicious

WSOU left the metal format earlier this year under pressure from the university. Now they only play it at night and odd hours.

I stoped listening to Krock along time ago. Now Its 102.3 WBAB, I think Rodger and JP are funny, and as much as I get sick of hearing "How you remind me" By Nickleback I continue listening. Yea like every radio station they play the same old songs day in day out. But I can tollerate hearing 5 rolling stones songs, 4 Zeplin ECT.On top of that my boss is happy. Hes a Big Z100 fan, and Im sorry but that station does not go for me!

Music in general is in another trasition period. Krock is sounding too much like f'n Z100. The most unlistenable part of Krock is the Stuttering John show. If I accidently find it on while changing stations, I turn it if as if it would make my car explode. What an unfunny , uninteresting and UNTALENTED DOUCHE BAG.
Rackin' up bad Karma since 1971!
