Why is the word "Wigger" acceptable?

I just noticed it used in another thread and I got to thinking. The word clearly means "White Nigger". Now the word nigger is not widely acceptable, at least not in public, so why is a word that clearly implies it so free to use?

First of all, as a black myself, the word "nigger" is accepted in public. The stupid rappers say it in all of their songs. If you're singing a song in public no one should get mad. "Wigger" should'nt be used if it insults the person you're talking to or about. blacks,asians, and whites can share the same common denominator,hip-hop,rock,alternative, without being called a mixture of the other race.(wigger,nigger, or blink..lol)

Black people didn't invent "Nigger"


Nigger is a derivative from the spanish "negro" and the latin "niger"....nobody invented it...its a colloquialism.

I think wigger came about during the late 80's/early 90's when white american embraced mainstream rap music and adopted the hip/hop fashion trends and black ebonics/slang for themselves.

It was VERY rare to hear a black person use that word toward a white person...I heard cracker a couple of times but never wigger. Usually it came from white teens who couldn't stand other white teens acting like a gangster to garner respect.
