SNOW DAY TODAY!!

I, like many others I assume, received that wonderful phone call as I struggled through the slush and snow to my office. "Turn around and go home." So here I am, home with that magnificent white cure-all falling outside my window, and what to do?
Are you a stay in, hot chocolate, comforter, and movie type? Or do you prefer to make your way to the local park for some sledding, snowball fights, and perhaps even a snowman or two? Myself, I think I'll stay in and stare at the message board all day.

I'm with ya', jestah. The last time they let anyone go early was when a 6' deep flood blasted the place. I guess the situation has to be of Biblical proportions for closure. So, unless there are frogs raining from the sky or all the first born suddenly drop dead, I'm at my desk.

I'm the only person in my company who doesn't live in the city and has to commute with more than a subway.

Here at the MTA, we never friggin' close. And this is my first day back to work. my Monday, if you will. I want to call out sick SO BAD!!!! But I am out of sick days until May. As you can see, I am a chronic sick time abuser. But, man today would've been ideal. Actually, today my wife is having our baby nieces and nephew overnight. Maybe work isn't so bad afterall.

i'm home real sick today, but my wife went to work. she called about an hour ago saying she is coming home and she would appreciate it if the driveway was clear for her when she gets home. so i just spent the last hour shoveling the driveway coughing like a madman. the worst part is when i finished the part i started with has a nice coating on it again.

if she can drive all the way home in the slush and snow...why can't she drive the 100 feet in the driveway?

I live 5 minutes from work so it wasn't bad getting in. My dad called me around 12 to let me know his company was closing early. I said out loud so my boss can hear that no I wasn't leaving and I dont know when I'm leaving. My boss came out 10 minutes later and sent us all home! Three cheers for dad!
