CADDYSHACK. MEN AT WORK. EVERY ROAST THEY EVER AIRED. THE SAME 5-6 SEASONS OF SNL THEY BOUGHT.

JESUS CHRIST! I love Comedy Central, but COME ON! PLEASE get some more original programming, and not The Sweet Spot, cause that sucked.

How about Upright Citizens Brigade? How about TV Funhouse? Everytime I'm forced to switch off Revenge of the Nerds I think to myseld, YES, THIS IS MUCH BETTER THAN DEVELOPING NEW SHOWS. ASSHOLES!

And now that the Chevy Chase roast has just been aired, we're getting all the other roasts a little too much.

Get your shit together, and STOP WITH THE BAD MOVIES! Even good movies like Office Space are so edited for content that it makes watching them a chore.

OH AND BATTLEBOTS IF FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!

...are they starting to move away from the whole "comedy" thing?

they gotta do something about get curses on the air... then they could start showing movies like Raw and Delerious, and show more old school Carlin and Pryor, and new school Rock and Foxx.....

They should buy the old episodes of "The State", that would kick ass.

And now that the Chevy Chase roast has just been aired, we're getting all the other roasts a little too much.

What really bothers me is that they would bother to air roasts of no talents like Drew Carey and Chevy Chase.

At least with the Colin Quinn show coming up this Monday there will be something decent to watch after Revenge of the Nerds 2.

Now they only show the last five years of SNL. At first, it was only the first five years. Then the next five. Then the next five. And so on and so forth. They run one batch into the ground over and over again for a couple years, and then move on to kill another few seasons. 'Tards.

And worst of all, they let a good seven, eight seasons of MST3K vanish to the Best Brains vaults, never to be seen again. Booooo.

what i believe would save comedy central:

1. more original programs, like moe said their original stuff was awesome, i miss shows like UCB and even i found Strip Mall amusing at points.

2. Buy up everything you can of these shows: The State, Monty Python's Flying Circus and MST3K

Doesn't Comedy Central have a reputation of being really cheap. If they want to create new programming that means they would have to spend more money. Even buying old shows cost them money. They are simply cheap.

nothing's worse than that "whose line is it anyway?"
they run a marathon of that every other day and i've never been able to get through more than 10 seconds of it. that show is godawful.

i agree with all of this. there are only a few tv stations that i watch, and the main one is comedy central. so i get pissed watching the same shit over and over. they have insomniac, the daily show, and south park which are all original and very funny, but they need MORE DAMMIT!

They need to play more comedian shows, WITH GOOD COMEDIANS. Basically anyone on the OnA show i want to see there.
Stop running shit movies like big, revenge of the nerds, and that stupid meg ryan movie.
FUNNY MOVIES TO MAKE UP FOR THAT UNFUNNY SHIT. All they have is office space, and they edit it so it sucks.
Stop all of the SNL shows that you constantly replay every other hour. I cannot tell you how many times that show starts AND IT ALWAYS HAS TO DO WITH BILL CLINTON.

AAAAAaaaaaaaaa! I see that many others here agree that Comedy Central BEATS these reruns and old movies TO DEATH!

And that is a good idea to get shows like MST3K and Chris Elliot's show.

I'm sure that buying reruns is A LOT CHEAPER than developing new shows, so I wish they would AT LEAST get the reruns.

Or yea, just start rerunning their OWN SHOWS again.

Oh, and rerunning Conan O'Brian was a step in the right direction. Just don't KILL that too.

I sooooooooo miss MST3K, but if Comedy Central runs shows to the ground. Then Sci-Fi Channel is where they go to die...

Well, money, basically. People have to be paid every time those awful old movies are played, even in repeats, and some were actually quite expensive. Comedy Central pretty much trimmed down the rotation of the repeats to the same 75 episodes or so to save costs and ignored the rest. They also wanted more of a say/veto in choosing what movies were screened in the future, so that money could be saved. Best Brains didn't want to give up the control, and ended up wanting out. They ended up on Sci-Fi, but Comedy Central owned the rights to the first 7-8 years until like 2000, so they hung onto them. Sci-Fi eventually canned the show since the ratings were slowly slipping, and the Best Brain people wanted to finally move on to new projects after 10+ years of doing MST3K. Best Brains now owns the rights to all of the shows on both networks, and there's still rumors that the old episodes could be picked up on a number of cable channels, from Bravo to A&E to Nick-At-Night to even Comedy Central again.

For now, only about 30 episodes have been officially released on DVD and video by Rhino, including three tapes that just collect the "shorts" that were often watched right before the actual movies. But there are hundreds of sites out there were you can trade or buy excellent video and DVD transfers of the shows from when they were airing on TV.

"Keep circulating the tapes."

Thanks for the update, Mojo Ass-whack.

But here's a PERFECT EXAMPLE of Comedy Central running something into the ground.

I saw the end of the Drew Carey Roast at like 12:30 or 1:00.

And at 2 AM, they're running the SAME ROAST AGAIN! Not even a different one!

FUCK YOU!!!!!!!
