Since the first movie came out I have been convinced this whole LOTR series is stupid and only ners buy into this crap. However, since the hype hasn't died down, once my winter break rolls along I'm gonna rent the first one on DVD then try and catch the second in theaters. I hope I'm not disappointed by taking this chance.

Still Lucas can't hope to match the epic nature of the LOTR series and he crams too much crap into every shot. He's not a talented enough director to open up the cinematography and let the scenery speak for itself.

Be fair now, that Yoda fight was pretty cool.

Everyone keeps saying that, but it just made me laugh. It was like a ninja Keebler elf or something. And the fact Lucas obscured most of the action with shadows and lightsaber glare indicates even he doesn't have faith in his FX addiction. And if Yoda can just bust out and go flippity-flip whenever he wants, why the hell is he walking around with a cane all the time, or riding a floating chair?

Do yourself a favor, when you deign to come down off that high horse of yours, watch the extended cut. It's worth it.

I'm not passing judgement, just based on my loathing of similar films, I am wary. Plus I have to set aside a whopping three to four hours to check it out. Yowza.

Mojo, you floored me with the footprints comment. One funny mother. I will see the two towers. Lord of the rings was very good, not as good for many if they weren't into the books. It was better than Attack of the Clones. I think Lucas is still a good director, but he is a shitty writer. You could have gotten together 5 adolescent fans and wrote a better script. Unfortunately Lucas to this point has made 3 great movies Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back and American Grafitti. Every thing else is complete shit.

Unfortunately Lucas to this point has made 3 great movies Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back and American Grafitti.

And he came up with the idea for and helped write all three Indiana Jones flicks. But the warning signs were early...he tried to pass off a horrible "American Grafitti" sequel on us about 20 years ago, but we foolishly thought it was a fluke. I think it's apparent now that he had only written "A New Hope" and "Empire", and he's just been winging it ever since. So sad.

Be fair now, that Yoda fight was pretty cool.

Much ado about very little.

I had friends who kept pimping that part of the movie to me. "Dude, you gotta see this film! Yoda kicks ass!" And so I finally saw it, and I'm like.....yeah, okay. That's nice. Yeah, that's cool, but really, was that worth the 15 bucks I paid for the DVD?

Lord of the Rings, however, has quickly become one of my favorite movies. The more I watch it (I just watched again tonight, after watching the WB special on "The Two Towers"), the more I believe that it's truly one of the best films ever made.

Yes, you heard me. EVER made. From start to finish, the film is just great on SO many levels.

So I can't wait until TTT.

BTW, I'd just like to say that I just really, really don't "get" Ron & Fez's little joke about always throwing off on LOTR. I just don't find the humor in it.

I think it's documented somewhere, (um, maybe) that Lucas was heavily influenced by Tolkien's work when he wrote star wars (the original trilogy) and if it isn't documented or admitted by lucas, there are far too many parallels between the two to imagine that Lucas wasn't influenced by Tolkien.

LOTR's biggest challenge for acceptance in America is people won't go out and read a friggin' book, especially not escapist fiction, which make up most of the bonifide "classics" in literature.

Here's a challenge: think LOTR is too far fetched for you? go to a library (remember those things?) and read Gulliver's travels or Animal Farm, and realize that just because somebody made a cutsey cartoon based loosely on a book and a marketing scheme, doesn't make the genre "immatue" and "for children"

then shell out the $5 to rent Fellowship, and realize you can still make a movie without James Van Der Beek or a Wayans brother....

ugh, I'm annoyed, I'm going to bed....

But in "Animal Farm", I can come across a pig, and not have to read thirty pages of backstory on the pig, read songs sung of the pig, what the pig's ancestors did for breakfast, etc., blah-blah-blah...

Tolkien was a nifty guy, but reading his books I keep thinking, "I'm reading a fake history book and an actual narrative keeps trying to break out." Not my cup of tea. Maybe it's because I mostly read real historical, sociology and cultural studies books. I just find our actual world far more interesting. No malice, just a preference...

Actually, I think the similarities arise from the fact that Tolkien was a scholar who specialized in languages and antiquities, and Lucas was heavily influenced by such studies. Actually, the biggest influence on Lucas was Joseph Campbell's "The Hero With a Thousand Faces" which shows how the same stories and characters arise in various cultures again and again throughout history. I have the book, and it's really interesting to review the table of contents - each chapter heading corresponds to a scene or theme in the original Star Wars trilogy.

Rent Akira Kurosawa's "The Hidden Fortress".

Lucas admits to being a Kurosawa fan, and it shows - the plot to "A New Hope" was, shall we see, "heavily borrowed" from THF. You've got a princess that must be rescued, an evil empire, two bumbling comedy foils, a macho rogue there to save the day....it's all there.

I am a huge Star Wars fan... and was hesitant to see LOR.

Well, I saw LOR Fellowship last night, and I have to say, as a whole (story, Cinematogrphay, everything) that it looks like this trilogy will blow the new Star Wars out of the sky.

Episode I & II have been nothing but a dissapointment in my book.

Bad writing, a week Anakin to Vader story line, and a bad over use of digital effects have ruined Star Wars for me. (and of coarse Jar Jar)

LOR is fascinating, with incredible characters and a story that hooks you right from the beginning - it is everything I wanted the new Star Wars Movies to be.

fuck Lucas.

My God, a new movie that's BETTER than the last two "Star Wars" films? Phew, that's quite the limb you're out on there. Are you sure you want to stick with a statement like that? I had the pleasure of escorting the lovely Too Cute to the special premiere on Wednesday night in NYC at 9PM.

My quick review:

If you loved LOTR you will love this. Great action, amazing CGI (Gollum was simply amazing!) and true to the book.

They made the dwarf guy too much into a comic relief character, like C3PO. Some corny dialogue between Frodo and Sam, but Too Cute tells me that's straight from the book. The cinematography was tremendous and the realization of the written word was sublime.

That being said, I slept through half the movie. Not my bag. When the inevitable 4 different DVD sets come out, I will just take one of Too Cute's and slip a random disc in and use it instead of Ambien to fall asleep.

If I had to review the movie objectively, 4 stars definitely. But I don't like movies like Star Wars or Matrix so subjectively it was not my bag. But definitely worth ten bucks. And certainly better than the worst movie I've seen ever, the last Star Trek Movie, Attack of the Clones. I stayed awake through that one just so I could make sure I got my money back for this piece of shit crap with some of the worst acting, screenplay, directing and effects ever. I would rather have seen You've Got Mail remade with Rosie O'Donnell and Tommy Tune than that piece of crap. George Lucas took a pretty great franchise to its nadir.

I'm out like Buster Douglas, I mean Trent Lott.

Good movie, great action and all, but one big problem with this trilogy is that the first two books have no climax's that leave you hanging.

Every story has begging, middle and end, and this is simply just the middle, sure the battle of helmdeep or whatever was a big climax but its not the major one of the trilogy. Tolkien wanted LOTR to be one book, but the publishing company made it into three parts, if LOTR was one movie you wouldnt all complain about drop off endings that just kinda dissapoint.

Otherwise great movie and im off to see it again soon.

I saw LOTR: Two Towers last night and all i have to say is, OH MY FUCKING GOD THAT MOVIE KICKED SO MUCH ASS!!!!!

The LOTR's francize is very well worked. The films are amazing and keep as best to the story as possible.

I heard people saying that the end of TT's the movie wasn't the same as the book. Well, for those that don't understand the concept that its a 3 shot deal and the actual end of TT's will mostlikely be where Return of the King starts off.

I thought the opening sequence was great, the fights were outstanding and the comedy was . . . well comedic.

I know i'll get flack for this, but. . . Smeagol stole the whole effin' show. He is god and hopefully, if i find a good pic of Smeagol, he will be in my new sig ofr the new year.

Ok...well I saw the movie. And it started RIGHT were the last one ended off. I will say the acting throughout the whole movie was incredible.
I think the reason why Gimli (the dwarf) was more comedic was to show how he went from being a loner, who did not like the elves, to part of the group. More trusting and protective of his friends.
As for the others...well it helps when you film one movie right after the other to stay in charachter.
The battle scenes were beyond words and it was hard to find...if any...discrepencies (did I spell that right??)
Well done. I liked the battle of Isengard. It was almost funny to see the Entz kicking the goblins like they were footballs!! I cannot wait for the next one (like everyone else). And i might go see it again before new years!
Lucas will always have a special place in my heart..and to compare the two movies is not fair. Lucas wrote Star Wars entirely from his mind....Lord of the Rings are from something that was written almost 100 years ago.
It is easy to try and compare them because these appear to be the two biggest movies in our lifetime or generation.
But I still think the both are different. ( I am speaking of the Original 3 Star Wars...the jury is still out on the 1st 2)
Although Lucas seemed to make up with Episode 2, he has alot to make up for Episode one.
But so far..Peter Jackson has my support for Best Director at the Oscars.

I doubt moving Shelob to
the third movie had anything
to do with Harry Potter.
Rather, if you think about it,
RotK is about the same
length as the first two, but
half of it is devoted to
appendices (a lot of the info
contained therein, such as
the development of Arwen
and Aragorn's relationship
is already in the movie). Of
the half of the book that is
actually part of the story, half
of that deals with the
scouring of the shire -
which will not be in the
movies. It makes sense to
attempt to make TTT less
cramped (it seemed
over-edited and too short as
it was) and move Shelob to
the third movie.

Went last night with my daughters to the 10:15 show, didn't realize it was three hours. Regardless if I am familiar with the whole Tale or not, there were often times where I got bored out of my skull.
Then, even though you got to play along, how does one man swing a 20-30lb sword for hours on end, killing if not hundreds of trained killers that are three times his size. The battle scenes become a "bit much" to swallow.
Then in the beginning the three were running for several days, nonstop? I can't buy into it man!

Ok I saw the two Towers tonight and I have to say that this one is more deserving of Academy nods than the other. The increased dialogue was a welcome to me, and I liked the fact that we stuck with the whole race of men thing this chapter. Although I loved the amalgamation of Elves/Men into another alliance. I was distraught to see sooooo little elves live at end...or maybe more so survive on camera than we see. The person I was with and I were distressed at the lack of elves surviving, although Legolas is the Jules winfield/Mr. Blonde of Elves. One bad mofo...

I liked the whole Gimli being the comedic guy...we get to see the dwarves for what they truly are. People with more souls than we gave credit for. And I loved the competition he had with the Elf, Legolas. How the two went from each others throat in FOTR to Friends in TT, and how they had competition to kill more orcs than the next. "I have killed two Legolas, how many does that make for you??" "I have killed 17 by this point..."-fucking classic...and then Gimli racking up the count...What a great movie. I must admit the weak point was the ending of the Bilbo/Gollum scenes. I know where Pete Jackson and whole trilogy is going (I read all the book now), just did not like the way he did it cinemotographically...I felt there should have of been better ending ending to that whole saga...ohhh well. Still very Oscar worthy, aghhhhh ghhheeeee gheeeee geeeeee

Great movie, although i thought the first one was better, cause it had all the character development, and suspense when the ringwraiths were chasing frodo.

I really enjoyed the "Bond" between Gimli and Legolas, and how the two were having a friendly competition. "Toss me........but dont tell the elf!" Great stuff

Gollum/Smiegal was a high point, especially when he is argueing with his alternate personailities. "Master will betray you.......(other personality) nope...)

The Ents were great, they were were extremely funny, and deep, i only hope to see them again in the next movie.

drudge jr's synopsis of the lord of the rings: the twin towers

this movie was excellent! I may not have red the book, or saw the first movie, but I completely understood this movie and give it 2 thumbs up for sure. for those of you who haven't seen the movie yet, here's a quick runthrough of the plot.

the story picks up where the last one leaves off. in the cold and distant lands of new zealand during the renaissance, or as they referred to it "middle earth." Sam and Frodo are on their way to take the magical ring to the big eye so he can save the shire, but they have quite a few opponents on the way! another plot is that of an oooold wizard named dumbledore who was killed in a battle with a giant slave-driver. but don't worry, because jesus gave him back his life and he became DUMBELDORE THE WHITE!

although this movie was great, there were a few mistakes. like. sam and frodo are going on two completely different adventures in the same movie! at one point, they're kidnapped by ogres who are alliegant to the evil saruman who will later build a shitload of really stupid ogres to attack the fort where all the humans live, but that comes much later. but while they're being kidnapped by ogres, they're also in a completely different place trying to get to mount murder (or mount doom, I think sauron lives at both) to give the ring to sauron. well, I'll just call the frodo and sam who get kidnapped by ogres, FRODO AND SAM 1 (FAS1) and the ones who are going to mount doom FRODO AND SAM 2 (FAS2) and I'll call the movie THE TWIN TOWERS (TTT).

ok, now that that's out of the way I'll continue. FAS2 meet up with a monster named golem who during the night splits into two monsters who fight about different things like killing frodo and sam (2), and eating meat raw or cooked. this character sucked. he was always yelling about his "precious", they never explain what his precious is! what is it! Why do we care? what is this stupid monster. he was clearly only there for comic relief.

Like I said before FAS2 are kidnapped by ogres who are killed in the night by evil horses who burn all the ogres, however FAS2 slip away into the woods where they meet the mysterious and wise MOSSBEARD, a big tree monster named an TENT for some reason. FAS2 basically just talk to mossbeard for the whole movie until they convince him to go attack some dam and kill a bunch of innocent villiagers just for cutting down a few trees. clearly the makers of this movie were trying to push some liberal enviromental agenda, for shame peter jackson.

another thing I loved about this movie are the rare but excellent cameos from other movies, much like a MAD MAGAZINE cartoon. an example of this are in the castle of the king of rohit, where his advisor is played by none other than THE PENGUIN of batman fame! another example is at helmet's deep where all the ogres are attacking. the ewoks from STAR WARS come and try to defend the fort where all the humans are hiding. Anyway, the penguin is convincing the senile old king of rohit that sauroman's ogres killing all the humans is a good thing for some reason. he also tries to hit on the beuatiful princess aowin and gets rejected DISSED AND DISMESSED! LOL. another cameo is by the computer guy from the matrix, he's disguised as a dwarf or something.

speaking of dwarfs, there's some dwarf who's always complaining about how short he is to some elf named legos, swedish for "play well" and Homer a human who's pretty good with the sword, but they're not important characters so don't worry about them.

Dumbledore the white, accompanied by the best horse in the world, hallifax, go and save the king of rohit by not only slaying the penguin, but also making the king 40 years younger thus removing him of senility. the king decides to move his entire villiage to the fortress called Helmut's deep, near the town the sauron protects called eyesguard. with a bunch of walls and crap, and the protection of the mighty and noble sauron, you'd think they'd be safe. BUT OOHHH NO! saurowman's breeding a huge army of ogres to att

Saw the movie last night.

First, my qualms:

1) It really annoys me when Sam calles Frodo, Mr. Frodo. Mister is a pronoun used in formal or professional relationships, not between friends. I do remember Sam referring to Frodo without it. I don't know if this was in the book, but it really confused me as to the relationship between Frodo and Samwise. Are they friends? I would think after the experiences they've shared he would feel comfortable enough to refer to him casually.

2) I didn't understand the scene involving the betrayel of Smeagel at the Forbidden Pool. What happened there?

3) The ring wraith response time is something to be questioned. Frodo stood in front of the wraith for what I estimated to be at least five to ten seconds. I hate it when movies pause for dramatic effect when in actuality Frodo would probably be killed sixteen times over in a period of five to ten seconds.

4) The battle of Helms Deep really bothered me. They blew a gigantic hole in the wall, plenty of room for full infiltration of the entire orc army, yet when day broke you could see thousands still outside the wall. What were they doing? Hanging out? Singing campfire songs? Also, it started raining, yet the torches from the orcs were still burning.

Other than that, I adored this film.

I have a question about the first one...

Gandalf escapes from Christopher Lee in the first film by calling a giant bird, right? Well, why doesn't he just call up some more of those birds and he and the Fellowship can ride back Mt. Doom in style, and ABOVE all the damn Orcs chasing them on the ground?

This just makes me laugh.

I mean, really. You're watching a movie with scary monsters, evil goblin-men & orc warriors, about magic and sorcery and all sorts of fantastical stuff that only exists in books....and it's the fact that they're wielding heavy swords for so long that defies your ability to suspend your disbelief.

No offense, but you seem to me the type of guy who would criticize Star Wars because the starfighters make noises when they explode ("But space is a vaccuum! There's no sound in space!!!").

I absolutely loved the film, and I'd just like to give a big shout-out to Andy Serkis & the folks at WETA for making Gollum / Smeagol into a REAL character.

Answer me, dammit!!! Why didn't they just all fly on giant birds to Mt. Doom?!?

Probably because the book would have only been about 20 pages long, and the movies maybe around 10 minutes total.

Yeah, they could have all flown on eagles, but then that's pretty much be the end of the story and we'd all be deprived of 3 of the greatest novels of ALL TIME, not to mention 3 sweet fim adaptations of those books.

There eagls are sort of
similar to th ents in that
they're a part of the world,
but separate. Like the ents
with Isengard, they came
out at the end for the battle
of the Pelennor. They have
helped a few times in the
past too, but not very many.
The current third age
eagles are way puny (just
compare Gwaihir to
Thorondur). I imagine if they
had just tried to fly into
Mordor, the flying Nazgul
etc. would have gotten
them.

But you are thinking far too
hard about it all, really.

Not really. It was a semi-logical train of thought. I see Gandalf escape on a giant bird. I then see the Fellowship marching back to Mt. Doom, sometimes complaining about the long, treacherous and roundabout way to it. I then see the group stranded in a Dwarf city, Gandalf "die", the group attacked by Orcs, and Sean Bean get his assed handed to him. All things that could have been avoided if they just flew. Not even all the way, if they can't fly to Mt. Doom, but they still could have avoided the mountains. Feh.

All things that could have been avoided if they just flew.

This has almost become a running gag by nitpickers since the books were first published.
TooCute explained it as it was alluded to in the books, plus Gwahir helped Gandalf in The Hobbit, too. He's like a lifeline; Plus Sauron would know Gwahir, and if he saw him coming with Gandalf on his back, he would have sent anything that could comprehend the concept of "up" at them, including nine nazgul on fellbeasts. The whole point is, you need someone that the enemy would see as "insignificant" to do the job, and Gwahir, (or any of those eagles) are far from insignificant..

And as for the "Mr. Frodo" Sam works for the Bagginses, he's Bag End's gardener, so although Frodo is his friend, he's also his employer.

I am definitely looking forward to installment three: The Return of the King

I have been wondering this ever since I saw the FOTR.

John Rhyes-Davies who plays the Dwarf, is a large man. How did they get him to appear so "dwarfish" when standing next to the elves and Humans?? Same With Frodo and Rudy. They are full sized people in real life, yet in the movie they appear very small and child-like. Just look at the scene in FOTR when the fellowship is gathered together at Rivendale before they depart. How the heck did Jackson pull this off so well?? Its amazing.

TTT was amazing. I have heard on other forums that In the Beginning of ROTK we will see Gandalf and the Ents trap Sauroman in the Tower and destroy his staff and "seeing stone", and banish him from the order of "Maiar"

I also wish they explained better why the Elfs are leaving Middle Earth. I know they are returning to the place that they and the Maiar dwell, but is it in "Middle Earth", or in another dimension?

Funny. My father has read all 3 books in the past, yet hates the films.

Some of it was done with computers, but a lot of it was just done with forced perspective - using camera angles and varying distances to make the big actors seem smaller, etc. By using camera angles and having the actors stand apart, you avoid having the problem with visible cgi edges and the like.

Aman - the continent to which the Elves are returning also known as the Undying Lands - used to be part of the real world. However, at the end of the second age, the men of the island nation Numenor (who had become corrupted by Sauron) sent a huge army to Aman to make war on the Valar (the gods) and the other inhabitants of Aman. This caused the ''Change of the World'' where the flat earth was turned into a globe, Numenor was sunk into the sea, and Aman was removed from the globe. As such, it can only be reached by the magical boats of the Elves, which are the only vessels capable of travelling on the ''straight road'' to Aman, whereas all other ships remain on the curved lines of the globe.

And as for the "Mr. Frodo" Sam works for the Bagginses, he's Bag End's gardener, so although Frodo is his friend, he's also his employer.

Still, the relationship has gone beyond subserviance...it seems a little weird. If i was on a life and death journey with my boss/friend, I would not call him Mister.

Not a big deal.

Also, Mojopin, I agree with previous comments. Like any aerial assault, birds of that size would be seen coming a mile away and defenses would be scrambled immediately. However, I would have proposed using the birds to at least to drop them off close to Mordor. It would've saved a lot of time.

You'll find inconsistencies in any movie, but bear in mind the simplest explanation for all of them: maybe the characters didn't even consider that idea. You might have proposed that if you were in that situation, but maybe the thought never even crossed thier minds. It's easy in hindsight to say I would've done this, but who knows, you know?

It just frustrates me, because the character I enjoyed the most, and was most fascinated with, was Sean Bean's, and he'd probably still be alive if someone had put down all the damn pipe weed and thought of the birds. I've only seen the extended version, where supposedly Bean has a lot more screentime, but I enjoyed him the most because his character seemed to really be the only one that was truly flawed, yet was struggling to what was right for his people while also trying to to do right by everyone else in the world who was threatened by the ring.

Rhyes-Davies is actually about the right size taller than Elijiah Wood, et.al. that a Dwarf would be taller than a hobbit, so it works out in one way.

The commentary tracks on the extended edition gives a lot of insight into the size/perspective issues and how they were worked out, with one of the hardest scenes to do being where Ian McKellan gives Ian Holm his staff and hat..

(and no jokes about McKellan having no problem giving Holm his staff!)

the forced perspective worked better than some of the actual blue screen shots (like the 2 hobbits running under a horse). btw rhyes davies stole the show comedy wise in this one - from not being able to see over the wall, to "dwarf tossing" - he was a riot.

You're right, TooCute - there were some Numenoreans who stayed good and didn't make war on the Valar. Hence Aragorn is of Numenorean descent, being the last of Isildur's line. Sorry for leaving this out or making it unclear - I was being really cursory in my explanation for space issues.

he'd probably still be alive if someone had put down all the damn pipe weed and thought of the birds.

About all of this eagle discussion, keep in mind that the people would have to ASK the eagles. The eagles are more forces of nature - they don't always help out. I mean, sure they were helpful in the Hobbit, and they did aid Gandalf several times. But, that doesn't mean that they would fly into Mordor to destroy the ring. It's quite possible that they would have refused even if they were asked.

Hell, the third movie is just going to rule! These films are getting better and better.
Well Peter Jackson sure knew what he was doing. I think the word visionary sure applies here. I do not think anyone could have gotten the vision we all seemed to have when reading the book as close as he did for the big screen. As he has said in interviews....each picture will be larger and better then the last one. So far so good. If you think the Battle of Helms Deep was something...I cannot WAIT for the Battle of Gondor.
But Shelob better not look anything like the spider in Harry Potter or I will be VERY disappointed. (which I doubt I will be)

I have seen him being interviewed for the movie recently...he lost a CONSIDERABLE amount of weight.
He looks totally differnt then when he was in Sliders and the Indiana Jones films.
I sure hope it was the workout he got from the movie and does not have some illness we are being kept secret about. (Yes he looked THAT thin)

I just got back from seeing this flick. And yes it was awesome. A few points though:

I don't think we should be worrying about swinging swords that are too heavy. I mean, D and D wise, we're talking about Dwarf Fighter, Elf Fighter, and Human Ranger all at least Level 16.

As for some of Jeffs qualms:

1) It really annoys me when Sam calles Frodo, Mr. Frodo. Mister is a pronoun used in formal or professional relationships, not between friends. I do remember Sam referring to Frodo without it. I don't know if this was in the book, but it really confused me as to the relationship between Frodo and Samwise. Are they friends? I would think after the experiences they've shared he would feel comfortable enough to refer to him casually.

2) I didn't understand the scene involving the betrayel of Smeagel at the Forbidden Pool. What happened there?

4) The battle of Helms Deep really bothered me. They blew a gigantic hole in the wall, plenty of room for full infiltration of the entire orc army, yet when day broke you could see thousands still outside the wall. What were they doing? Hanging out? Singing campfire songs?

I think Sam was Frodo's gardener. Not to mention, Frodo had the ring, so he was in charge.

Frodo was allowed to go down to the pool and save Smeagel. Smeagel was suspicious of Frodo but trusted him anyway. When the humans captured Smeagel, Smeagel believed Frodo led him into a trap.

Though it was a large hole in the wall, there is only so many that can fit through at one time. Plus they really aren't that bright.

Finally, Smeagel/ Golem reminds me of my roommate. bipolar little shit.

I first saw the TTT the day before it came out at 10:30 ish and well I never realised how long it was, I have just recently downloaded it off Kazaa and I am watching it now. 3 parts, and from what I can tell you someone did a really good cam on it. I've only noticed so far a slight clicking sound during the Grima/Eomer conversation. All I can say is tommarow I will watch my Special Edition Fellowship version, then plop down infront of my comp and watch TTT, should be cool. Oh you should download it, it's worth it for checking on little slipups and for getting quotes and such. I know I'm nuts, don't blame me. Blame it on my cousin, she dropped me on my head.
Oh and if you didn't know(Doubt it) download DivX player to watch it.
