i heard they might try to get Franchione from Alabama...hes a really good coach; did great with Tomlinson at TCU and wonders with an Alabama team that had nothing to play for...i also heard the old notre dame coach Bob Davie as a candidate..

Damn, I just heard on the news that the A&M boosters were willing to make the next coach the highest paid in the country.

That combined with the fact that Alabama's trying to get Franchione to sign a new contract with a 5 year non complete clause and the fact that he's said he'd like the A&M job in the past makes me violently ill.

Um, I think Bob Davie would be a nice fit in College Station.
