Have you ever heard of Lemorra, A Children's Tale of the Supernatural? It used to come on UPN on Halloween. This is the wierdest flic I've ever seen: psychological, werewolves, vampires, repressed sexuality, blood and wierd Southern gothic mood lighting.

The most frightened I have ever been watching a film was as a kid during "The Evil Dead" (original).

The scariest film ever is probably CARRIE. The best horror film ever though is Dario Argento's SUSPIRIA. Argento is some kind of fucking Genius.

The only movie that ever scared me for real was the original Nightmare on Elm Street. I was probably 12 or 13 when I saw it, and I couldn't sleep for days after.

...silent, but violent.

For me the scariest movie was the one that didn't even show one instance of gore - Rosemary's Baby.

Honorable Mention:
The Shining
Halloween
Don't Be Afraid of the Dark

The movie the birds always freaked me out. I hate birds.

Night of the living dead was pretty traumatizing. I guess seeing in the 1st grade and walking home in the dark past cemetaries didnt help.

The 1st Halloween made me jump the most, and Texas Chainsaw was one of the most disturbing. The dining room scene is a classic.

Thank you Ron and Fez for finally being live in DC again.
Philly is the next market for the boys. Wake up WYSP...

I think there are a lot of GOOD horror films, but IMO, very few SCARY ones, at least to me.

Take Exorcist. Did not scare me. At all. In fact, I was a bit bored at times. I thought the book was much better.

But I have to admit - the spider-walk scene fucked my shit up, THAT is goddamn freaky.

Scary then: Shining. The two little dead girls always spooked me as a kid.

Scary now: "The Ring" (original Japanese version). Good horror movie, and then you hit the very end. Rather, it seems like the end...AND THEN HIS TV TURNS ON. What follows next messed with my head for a few days.

Let me tell you something, I'm the biggest chicken-shit when it comes to scary movies.
'Jeepers Creepers' did nothing for me.
'Nightmare on Elm Street' (1-3) were the best.
'Candyman' yeah believable.
'Hello Mary Lou, Prom Night 2' creepy more than scary
'Scary Movie' more of a thriller
'The Ring' I have yet to see, but
'THE EXORCIST', has to be, by far, the scariest movie ever! EVER!
E V E R!!
