The magic tree...a chuckle patch...Paula & Carol. Apparently I have woken up to some bizarre reunion of this educational show. It's on WPIX (Channel 11) now. Anyone remember this show?

HaHa, I was gonna start a thread about this, I totally forgot!

*singing* '.. I'd like to say hello (hello), hello (hello), hello (hello), I'd like to say hello (hello), hello and how are you?.. I'm fine (me too), we're fine and how are you? I'm fine (me too), we're fine and how are you?'

I MISSED THEM!

My sister TiVoed the special on Thanksgiving, and I caught a bit of it when my niece was watching it. Boy, did they ever get old...

It's funny - I remember the show from when I was a kid. But, until I saw an old episode the other day, I never realized how bad that show really was! I mean, they barely know what lines to say, the production value is low, etc.

Oh, and that theme is maddeningly easy to get infected with. "If you sing to me (lalalalala), I'll sing to you (deedeededededeee)..." Argh - make it stop!!!

A few years ago on O & A Jay Mohr was in studio breaking Dice's chops when he made a reference to our beloved Paula and Carol.

(As Dice): "I'm comin' back to New York to sell out The Garden...Ya....Eh...The Magic Garden with those two chicks!"

I loved this show when I was little. I wish I could have caught the reunion show. Doh.
Remember when they used to go through the list of names? I used to suspect that they just wrote down any names to be read. I still have a complex for never having my name read off:(

See Ya!

Great show? Some other faves were HR Pufnstuff, Land of the Lost, and Zoom

Does anyone remember "Joya's Fun House?"

And trivia:

What were the names of all the "sub-cartoons" that appeared during the Magillas Gorilla Hour?"

Joya's fun house came on Fridays, I think. To be honest as a kid I preferred the Magic Garden because I had a crush on the enthusiastic Carol. Joya was too much like a schoolteacher.
