i have seen blaine perform his magic up close and it is mind blowing. i asked him how things were done and he would just be as evasive as could be. fucking amazing.

the other guy (chris angel?) i saw in his water trick. big deal. it's like blaine's lame ice stunt.

does the other guy do impressive slight of hand, etc. like blaine?

i haven't seen any so i am curious.

My personal fave is Ricky Jay. Aside from playing bit parts in movies (especially all David Mamet movies like House of Games) he was also in Boogie Nights, he's an author and expert of confidence games and a phenomenal magician, especially cards. I encourage everyone to check him out if you don't know him already. Rent House of Games for a great movie you might not have heard of.

I thought that Criss Angle special on cable last month was pretty cool. But then again, they edit it for him. I don't know, but I never really liked David Blane because I allow South Park to form my opinions for me, and he was a bad man on that show. He went against Jesus, Buddah, Muhammed, and all those other wacky religious figures.
